There's much to do on the beach, including swimming, golfing, tennis, baseball, sailing, and riding a keel boat or catamaran, as well as skating, cross-country skiing, snowmobiling and curling in the winter. If you enjoy sailing in particular, be sure to pay the yacht club a visit - take a pleasure sail or compete with others on Winnipeg Lake. 

There are a lot of wonderful accommodations in the area. You can stay at a cottage, hotel, bed and breakfast or a rustic cabin.
