About Kamloops, BC 

The city of Kamloops is situated in south-central BC where the two arms of the Thompson River meet, and near the lake that shares its name. Nearby spots include Aberdeen, Bachelor Heights, MacArthur Island, Tranquille, Valleyview Southgate, and Rosehill. 

Kamloops' Climate

The weather in notably pleasant in Kamloops. The summers are hot and the winters are often mild and relatively short, as far as Canadian winters go. 

Cottage Delight  

Kamloops has been the proud host of the Canada Summer Games, BC Summer Games, and co-host of the IHF World U-20 Hockey Championship.  Kamploops is also scheduled to host the 2011 Western Canada Summer Games. 

Clearly, the city is ideal for outdoor sports and recreation! In particular, be sure to visit McArthur Island, where you'll find Kamloops Rotary Skatepark - one of the largest skateparks in Canada. Kamloops Bike Ranch, moreover, is a must for avid bikers.
