Wasaga Beach, Ontario

About Wasaga Beach, Ontario

Wasaga Beach became an official town of the Simcoe County in 1974. It is situated on Nottawasaga Bay, at the south end of Georgian Bay - around two hours north of Toronto, and just east of Collingwood.

The Beach is famous not only for summer fun in the sun, but also for its amazing size: it is longest freshwater beach on the planet at 8.7 miles long.

The beaches that make up Wasaga Beach are numbered one to six, and you can hop from one to the other as you please. Enjoy a beachside stroll along the long boardwalk, water sports, beach volleyball and, of course, relaxing on the famously white sands.

In winter, many go to Wasaga for the fabulous snowmobiling, skiing and other winter sports. Wasaga is, indeed, a hot tourist spot year round.
