About Rideau Lakes,  Ontario

Rideau Lakes is the largest municipality in eastern Ontario's Leeds and Grenville County. It became an official township in 1999 as a result of the amalgamation of the following regions: North Crosby, South Crosby, Bastard, South Burgess, South Elmsley, and the village of Newboro.

Take a Trip along the Canal

Ever since 1832, people have been enjoying trips along the Rideau Canal. During the trip, you can stop in Ottawa, Smith Falls, Merrickville, Westport, Battersea, and Kingston. Be sure to stop and take a boat tour!

All-Season Fun

Enjoy boating and boat tours along the canal in the summer, and world-class skating in the winter.  For when the Rideau Canal freezes up in central Ottawa, you have the second largest skating rink in the world. It is the size of 90 Olympic skating rinks!
