About Shediac, New Brunswick 

The town of Shediac, New Brunswick, is located in Westmorland County, on a sub-basin of the Northumberland Strait known as Shediac Bay, just west of the famous Parlee Beach Provincial Park. Shediac is a little-known town with a small population. But, those who do know it love it, among other things, for its lobster - hence it's nickname, "Lobster Capital of the World."

One of the best times to visit Shediac is in July, when Shediac's celebrated lobster festival takes place. Of course, when you're there, be sure to check out the largest lobster sculpture in the world, which you'll find at the western entrance to the town. It truly is a sight to see! 

Things to Do in Shediac

Come to Shediac for the beautiful scenery and, of course, for the famously warm waters of Parlee Beach - which itself attracts 1,000,000 visitors each year! Also, be sure to visit the beautiful wharf in the nearby community of Pointe-du-Chene.
