Kings County is a small rural and sparsely-populated county in eastern PEI. It was incorporated into Canada in 1879.
Pride of Kings County
Kings County holds the record for building one of the biggest ships in the world - the Kings County. It also has the largest sawmill in all of PEI. Not bad for a small rural county!
Montague
Montague is the biggest town in Kings County and offers all the conveniences of a big city: two big supermarkets, hardware stores, banks and fine restaurants.
Come to Montague around Canada Day, and you can enjoy a weeklong celebration known as Montague Days. Montague Days begins on Canada Day and goes on for a week full of great activities and entertainment - such as the Miss Montague Contest, fireworks, live concerts, and a pet parade!
