Enjoy a quintessential Canadian cottage experience! Peggy’s Point is a privately owned, luxury cottage retreat on Maple Lake in the heart of the Haliburton Highlands, Ontario, Canada. A child friendly, sandy beach is the focal point in summer. A snow covered wonderland makes winter a delight.

This unique lakeside chalet is situated on a point of land. Watch the sunrise with your morning coffee on the dock side. Enjoy a glass of wine with the sunset on the beach side.

The cottage is just 15 minutes to Haliburton, 20 minutes to Minden, and close to Algonquin Park. This elegant property is furnished with country antiques and sleeps 8 people comfortably.

In summer enjoy complimentary use of two canoes, a paddle boat and a row boat. A badminton net and horseshoe pitch are on-site. Maple Lake is renowned for fishing and is part of a three lake chain for miles of boating.

Haliburton is a popular recreational area for cycling, hiking, canoeing, swimming, geocaching and fishing in the summer. Winter activities include cross country skiing, downhill skiing, snowmobiling, snow shoeing, dog sledding and ice fishing. Two sets of snow shoes are available for guests. Enjoy Peggy's Point for family vacations or romantic getaways.

Waterfront Description & Nearby Activities

The waterfront at Peggy's Point is ideal for young children and doting parents and grandparents. Relax on comfortable Muskoka chairs while watching the youngsters play in the sand. Stay right there on the beach to watch the magnificent sunsets that light up the skies over the lake.

On the other side of the point is a deep water dock in a sheltered bay. - great for teenage dive bombs or mooring your boat. Motor boat rentals are nearby and will deliver right to Maple Lake. Or, enjoy the canoes, paddle boat and row boat that are provided for the free use of guests. There are plenty of life jackets of all sizes.

Explore the forested point that is for the exclusive use of guests. 700 feet of shoreline gives ample opportunities to enjoy the waterfront. A second beach at the end of the point provides variety. And did I mention the fishing? Maple Lake is well known for great fishing for lake trout, bass, white fish and walleye.

The shallow entry beach with hard packed sand extends 150 feet out into the lake. Water volley ball in knee high water bonds families together in a wonderful fun activity.

In winter the shallow entry sandy beach becomes a safe skating rink. Because of the shallow water, this part of the lake freezes quickly and is safe for pond hockey and fun skating. Snow shoes are provided for guests to snow shoe across the lake or on nearby trails.

Master bedroom with premium quality king-size bed has a walk-out balcony and spectacular big lake view.

Blue room has double bunk beds plus single bed has a lake view of the sheltered bay behind the cottage
Sitting room loft with pull out double couch is a cosy games room where the games and books are kept. It also has a second TV.

From $495 per weekend and $595 per 3 night weekend for 2 guests. Add $50 for each additional guest up to a maximum of 8 guests.

Mid-Season (Excluding long weekends and March Break)
Jan 2 – April 1, 2013
May 17 – June 14, 2013
Sept 6 – Nov 1, 2013
From $595 per 2 night weekend and $695 per 3 night weekend

High Season and Holidays
June 14 – Sept 6, 2013. Weekly rentals only. Flat rate. Capacity 8 persons.

House Rules

Minimum two night rental. Capacity 8 persons. HST is added.
Kitchen linens, pillows, duvets, bed covers, linens in master bedroom king size bed, are included.
Towels and all other bed linens can be provided for $25 per person.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellation
In the event of a cancellation by the Applicants, the refund amount will include all monies except the initial deposit of $500 as long as the cancellation date is 30 days prior to the agreed rental date. If the cottage is re-booked for the same rental period, the initial deposit will also be refunded in full.
