Twin Bears Resort is located 29 miles west of New Liskeard and 12 miles east of Elk Lake off of Hwy.#65 with our own 1.5 mile long graveled road positions us privately on the beautiful banks of the Montreal River.
The Montreal River with its tranquil wilderness setting connected lakes and back lakes framed for exceptional fishing for Northern Pike, Walleye, Small Mouth Bass, Perch and White Fish.
Hunting season finds us offering a true world class big game bear and moose hunts, the small game grouse and duck hunting never takes a back seat to anyone.
Twin Bears has a lot to offer to fill your group fishing or hunting trip, family vacation or retreat, summer, spring, fall or winter holidays, ATV trails, excellent fishing, canoeing, hunting, bird watching, day tripping, hiking, rock hounding, swimming, fish fries, breath taking night skies, untouched wilderness, trail exploring, wild life viewing, camera hunts, abandon mine exploring or just relaxing these are just a few of the many activities that are served up by Rick and Janet Robillard in a friendly, homey atmosphere all too commonly lost into day’s world a place to forget your trouble and just to have fun.
Hunts run Saturday to Saturday, but by the time we set you up in a stand and get you familiarized with the area, it leaves you with a 6 day hunt. With more than 237 sq. k.m. exclusive to our camp, let us set up the baits to suit anyone's needs. Stands are accessible by side road, bush road, ATV trails and off the water. Your ATV is welcome and will assist in getting you back to some of our deeper baits, but our road and water baits give good success rates as well. We bait well in advance of the hunt, starting in June and continue throughout the summer to establish a regular bait strike long before the hunting season. Baiting is done with a mixture meat scraps, sweets and grain plus restaurant grease, and a few things we keep to ourselves.
The elusive majestic moose wanders the woods and slues, rivers and lake areas that surround thecamp. Located on the border of Wildlife Management Unit 28 & 40 has the natural boundary of the Montreal River. The drive-in bush location allows us to offer hunters one of the better opportunities only minutes away from land or off the water hunt. We have facilities to hang and local processing is available so you don't have to rush home early because of early success. We offer two types of service. We will supply you with tags and a map-guided hunt or supply your own tags and be a base camp only.
Ruffed Grouse, Partridge and Spruce Grouse flourish in the thousands of acres of crown forest thatsurround the camp. Miles of access roads and trails make for ideal fall bird hunting in the bush trails with nothing less than breath taking scenery. The bush trails with the rise of the birds, singing of the guns, the smell of the pines then friendly comradeship back at the camp will not long be forgotten. ATV's and dogs are both welcome guests for the hunt as long as they are kept under control.
