Cape House is a romantic Cape Cod style home situated on the wine route in Niagara-on-the-Lake, near the Shaw festival, spas, cycle paths, golf courses, shops, restaurants and sunsets over Lake Ontario. After a full day of exploring the area our guests can relax in our upper lounge or, in fine weather, on the front porch, the verandah or our new pergola covered deck. We invite guests to join us for homemade snacks between 4:30 and 5:30 in high season. Cape House is decorated in the French Country style with soothing pastels and comfortable furnishings and features art by renowned local artist, Lois Stevens. Each guest room has its own distinctive décor and an ensuite bathroom. Toiletry dispensers have been incorporated for ease of use and to protect the environment. Amenities include duvets, a selection of pillows and luxurious pillow-top mattresses. Each room has its own sitting area. Rooms also include wireless high speed internet access and a flat screen TV. Cape House is an adult oriented B&B (no children under 18), a non-smoking and pet free property and has central air conditioning.

A gourmet breakfast is served daily in the dining room or, in fine weather, on our verandah. We use the very best local ingredients and offer a single menu each morning served at 8:30. Upon request coffee or tea will be available in our upper lounge as early as 7:30. Fresh fruit will be offered each day. The main course may be a baked breakfast or fruit-stuffed French toast with homemade fruit sauces and local maple syrup or Eggs Benedict. Each meal is accompanied by homemade croissants, corn muffins or biscuits. To finish, our guests may enjoy a small sweet treat. With advance notice we are happy to offer options for those with dietary restrictions including vegetarian options.

The Merlot Room
Bed: Queen Bathroom: 4 piece Ensuite
Room Description: The romance of the vineyard and passion for fine wine are reflected in the rich warm colours of red and gold chosen for this elegant room. The Merlot room features a beautiful Queen size chestnut four-poster bed, pillowtop mattress, luxurious duvet and a selection of pillows for the perfect sleep. This room also has a flat-screen TV, wireless high speed internet access, CD clock radio, ceiling fan and central air.

The Gamay Room
Bed: Queen Bathroom: 3 piece Ensuite
Room Description: The luxury of silk drapes and duvet cover set off by creamy white walls make this a great room for a relaxing stay. The Gamay room features a powder finish wrought iron style bed, a pillowtop mattress, luxurious duvet and a selection of pillows for a most peaceful sleep. This room also has a flat-screen TV, wireless high speed internet access, CD clock radio, ceiling fan and central air.

The Riesling Room
Bed: Queen Bathroom: 3 piece Ensuite
Room Description: This ground floor room with its dove grey walls, white duvet cover and pale yellow accents is our most peaceful room. It features a white Queen 4 poster bed, pillowtop mattress, luxurious duvet and a selection of pillows for a relaxing night's sleep. This room has a flat screen TV, wireless high speed internet access, CD clock radio, ceiling fan and central air.

All bathrooms have toiletry dispensers that have been incorporated for ease of use and to protect the environment and each bathroom comes with soft luxurious towels and a hair dryer.

Weekend specials: $295.00/ weekend (Friday + Saturday) plus taxes
Weekday special rate: $140/night plus taxes
Standard Rate: $165.00 plus taxes/night
Accommodation rates are based on double occupancy plus taxes.

Cancellation Policy

Your VISA or MASTERCARD is required to guarantee your reservation. A 50% deposit of the cost of your entire stay will be required at time of booking even if using a gift certificate. Balance will be taken on the mornging of your arrival date. If for any reason you need to cancel your reservation, please notify us at least 14 days in advance for a refund. A $50 administration fee is charged regardless of the reason or timing of the cancellation. If you cancel within 14 days and we are unable to re-book your room or if you do not arrive, the entire cost of your reserved stay will be charged to your credit card. Any reservation made within 14 days of arrival is subject to payment in full at the time of booking. Please note that for reservations made by a third party such as a travel agency, payment in full is required at the time of booking.
