Property Description

Private sites on sandy beach shoreline of Calabogie Lake.
Located one hour drive west from Ottawa or 3.5 hours north-east from Oshawa.
1, 2 and 3 bedroom cottages . $752.21 per week for summer of 2013.
Check in/out on Fridays.
Short term visits are available in spring and autumn at $150 per night with minimum two night stay.
Maximum 4 adult occupancy with kids 16 and under free.
$250 advance deposit required to reserve a week or $125 for shorter term visit.
My summer cottages are fully equipped EXCEPT bed and bath linens. (Covers, blankets, pillows are supplied.) Modern "conveniences" including 3 piece bathrooms.
There are no telephones in the cottages but excellent cell phone reception.
Individual BBQ's with propane included. Beach fire pit - wood is supplied.
Private boat launch & dock facilities onsite.
Excellent fishing opportunities for bass, pickerel (walleye) and pike - guaranteed sunfish for the kids.
Hundreds of trout lakes nearby.

June 22 is 2013 Opening for Bass Season. Neighbouring Lanark County June 15 is opening day for Bass.
Motorized aluminum fishing boats available for rental.
Minimum one week rentals between June 21 and up to Sept 6. Check in/out on Fridays.
Minimum two night rentals @ $150 per night available until June 21st and after Sept. 8th.
During May, Sept and Oct will rent single night at $150 per night on last minute availability basis.
48 hour advance availability for 2 or 3 day weekends during the summer at $150.00 per night.
All prices quoted are plus hst and subject to change from season to season.

Long Term Unit Available 2013

Due to high demand, new in Spring 2013 will be two year round rental units
Lee's Hollow and Luke's Loft.
3 bedroom and 1 bedroom. Both with fantastic views onto the beach and Calabogie Lake.
For downshill ski enthusiasts, Calabogie Peaks Ski Resort is located just two minutes away.

Waterfront Description & Nearby Activities

Nearby recreation includes world famous Calabogie Motorsports Park (10 minutes), Highlands Championship Golf Course (10 minutes), Manitou Mountain Hiking Trail (1 minute) Calabogie Peaks Waterfront Sports Activity Centre (2 minutes).
Summer and Fall seasons are brim full of activities in the local area.

Additional Rate Information

Prices are for the 2013 calendar year.
One week minimums during prime cottage season - check in/out Fridays.
Weekend rentals available only on a "last minute" basis. (48 hours)
4 Cottages are available from long weekend in May through Thanksgiving weekend.

Advance deposit is mandatory to reserve. Preferably through Interac banking transfer.
Balance is payable on arrival.
Excess cleaning will carry a surcharge.

House Rules

Guests are expected to leave the cottage in the same clean and tidy condition as when they checked in.
On departure and during your stay all waste, trash and recyclables are to put in marked containers. If your family pet is accompanying you, please ensure "toilet" is cleaned up immediately and put in appropriate waste container. Obedient dogs may be left off leash but will not be allowed to annoy other guests.
To protect the privacy of other guests and ensure enjoyment of the beach facilities by all customers, only those persons registered at check-in time (which is the 4 adult maximum) are the guests of Whippoorwill Valley Cottages.
If you plan to have a day visitor you are to enquire for permission from the owner in advance.
Overnight visitors must also receive permission from the owner in advance.
Please bring with you all your bed and bath linens.
Any damages to contents, furnishings, etc. must be reimbursed to the owner at time of departure.

Cancellation Policy

$250 advance reservation deposit is refundable only if
we are able to rebook your time. A $50 portion of the deposit
will be retained to offset time and costs spent rebooking.
