We are a block away from the Rideau Canal, a World Heritage destination.The canal has two locks and runs through the center of Merrickville. The Blockhouse built in 1832 is an interesting place to visit. There are also 5 restaurants and pubs within a blocks walking distance. If you need to unwind enjoy a spa treatment at Spa San Souci also only a block away.

Merrickville is home to a great many artists. You will find painters, sculptors, glassblowers and Canada’s oldest operating metal foundry.The Merrickville Artist’s Guild presents their fall studio tour which is a very popular event. Many artists are open year round.
