Property Description

24 Sunset Boulevard is a newer cottage that features 940 square feet of high quality comfortable modern lake lifestyle. The cottage has a great room design with complete pine interior, hardwood floors, wood burning stove and an amazing view. The cottage is located right on the waterfront and has a huge deck overlooking Caliper Lake. We have a private dock, and lower level deck area. The cottage features ample privacy and is non-smoking. Smoking outside is permitted.

24 Sunset Boulevard has four pillow top queen beds c/w high quality linens. The main floor has two bedrooms and the second floor is a loft with two queen beds, and a twin bed. The kitchen is modern and has a large island and stools for entertaining. The cottage bathroom features a three piece bath. In addition to these features we have a Bose stereo system c/w Ipod docking station, flat screen TV and Blue-ray player.

The cooking facility includes a BBQ, and good quality cooking utensils, a four burner oven and a microwave.

Fishing & Hunting

Fishing
Our cottage is located right on beautiful Caliper Lake in Nestor Falls Ontario. Caliper Lake has great Walleye, Perch, Crappie and Northern Pike fishing. Fishing is good year round and Northern fishing in the winter is exceptional right in front of the cottage. You don't even need a boat as the fishing off the dock can be quite rewarding and productive. In addition to fishing on Caliper we are only six minutes from the township public boat launch that provides access to Lake of the Woods.

Lake of the Woods and particularly the Nestor Falls area is a world class fishery for Muskie, Northern Pike, Crappie, and Walleye. If Lake Trout is your fish we are only 17 minutes from the public boat launch at White Fish Bay, home of huge Lake Trout (see our winter photos for examples). More Lake Trout fishing is only 15 minutes away on Beautiful Crow Lake.

Winter provides snowmobile access to many other Trout and Walleye lakes. We can also arrange guides services and fly out services to many other day fishing locations. For details on fly outs see our link to Northwest Flying service.

Hunting
Our area is very popular for Large White Tail Deer, Bear and Wolf hunts. Guide services can be arranged. We have direct access to many trails and public areas for upland game hunts as well as access to many ponds and great Duck Hunts.

Waterfront Description & Nearby Activities

Boating
Caliper Lake is a great lake to take the day and enjoy your boat. We have a couple of public boat launches on the lake. The lake is great for water sports or a simple afternoon bubbling around on a pontoon and enjoying the sites and sounds of the lake. In addition to boating on Caliper we are also located within six minutes of the Nestor Falls public boat launch, which provides quick access to Lake of the Woods.

Snowmobiling
The cottage is available for weekend and weekly rentals. A true snowmobilers paradise. We are located right on the OFSC trail system that provides access to groomed trails East to Emo, Rainey River and Fort Francis and connections to Minnesota. To the West we connect to Sioux Narrows Kenora and beyond to Manitoba. If back country and wilderness riding is your preference we have great access to many lakes and a complete back country trail system. If you are a first timer to the area we offer guided snowmobile trips and guided ice fishing. (Call for more info).

We have easy access to many sledding amenities within 6 Kilometres. These include fuel and repairs, Grocery and liqueur store and restaurants. Trail passes are also available.

Nature
Caliper Lake and the whole Lake of the Woods area is an amazing spot to nature watch. We have a public nature trail located four minutes from our door at the town tourism centre. Commonly spotted animals include Eagles, Osprey, Deer, Fox, Otters, Pelicans and many others.

Summer: July and August:
$950.00 per week. (Saturday to Saturday)
Spring and Fall and Winter:
$750.00 per week
Weekends Thursday to Sunday $450.00
Check in 3 pm check out 11 am.
An extra charge of $20 per day for more than four guests. Max guests 8.

Hunting Package
For hunters Oct through Dec we offer the following:
Weekly rental rate of $950.00 for two guests. Extra $20.00 per day for each additional guest. Max 5 Guests
Extra parking for trailers, quads and various equipment.
Locking storage for extra equipment and gear.
Game hanging in a clean insulated temp controlled building.

House Rules

House Keeping Policy
In an effort to offer our cottage as reasonably priced as we can we have adopted a cleaning policy:
We supply clean linens weekly, we ask that you bring your own bath and beach towels. We ask that the cabin be cleaned prior to checkout. If cabin is not left in a clean condition similar to the way it was received we have the option to charge up to $150.00 for cleaning.

Pet Friendly
We do not charge extra for pets but we ask that extra care and attention is made when cleaning up after your pets. We ask that pets not be left un- attended.
