Walleye Lake Outposts is based out of Kenora in Northwestern Ontario's Sunset Country, approximately 130 Miles Northwest of International Falls Minnesota.

Our Canadian fly-in fishing starts in Kenora and we fly you to our deluxe, remote cottages, accessible only by float plane where you will experience complete fishing privacy and a great angling experience since we are the only outfitter on the lake.

Walleye Lake is a Canada fly-in fishing outpost operated by the Derouard family. It is operated and managed out of Kenora Ontario. All of our guest are flown out of Kenora to Walleye Lake. We are the only outfitter on Walleye Lake. There are three things that are very important to us and our customers. The first and foremost is our fishery. Here at Walleye Lake our camp rules are catch and release. The only fish that is able to be filleted is fish that are under 18" for shore lunch. This has been very successful in keeping our fishery extremely healthy. The second is our accommodation. We take pride in maintaining our cabins keeping them modern up to date and clean. The third is our equipment. We make sure they are maintained and ready for our guest to enjoy their stay with a trouble free holiday.

What you should bring
Warm clothing, rain gear, sleeping bag, fishing gear, personal floatation device (life vest) food, beverages, camera, film, insect repellent, and personal items.
Kenora offers three major grocery stores for your convenience. Also, bait and tackle may be purchased locally before your flight. We offer to arrange your bait order prior to your trip and will have it ready for your departure to Walleye Lake.

Home base for Walleye Lake Outposts is Kenora, Ontario, Canada.
Kenora, Ontario is approximately a 426 mile drive northwest of Minneapolis Minnesota.
If you are not up for the long drive, you could fly to Winnipeg International Airport and we could provide transportation to and from Winnipeg International Airport in Winnipeg Manitoba to Kenora with arrangements made in advance.

Walleye Lake Outposts is accessible by float plane only. Depart from Kenora Air Service docks located on the Kenora harbourfront. Fly in a traditional heritage bush plane, manned by experienced bush pilots who are professional, courteous and knowledgeable. While flying to Walleye Lake Outposts, kick back, relax and enjoy the sights and scenery that northwestern Ontario has to offer.

Individual Unit Description

There are two deluxe 2 bedroom cottages on Walleye Lake. Eagles' Nest Lodge (located on an island) and Two Loon Lodge (Located on a remote point surrounded by water).

Both cottages are built with comfort in mind, offering carpeted bedrooms, screened-in porches, and full kitchen facilities. Both Cabins are equipped solar lighting wash rooms with hot and cold running water and hot showers. Two Loon and Eagle's Nest camps are over a mile apart and offer all of our guests the remoteness they are looking for. We are the only outfitter on the lake.

If you are a small group (2 to 4), we can give you a camp all to yourselves. If you are a large group, we will give you both camps, the entire lake, as we are the only outfitter on Walleye Lake.

Season opener starts on May 19th. Season ends October 1st.
Fishing is at it's peak during the months of June, July and August. Walleye, Northern Pike and Smallmouth Bass are caught in great numbers at this time of year.
Make your reservations early if you plan to fish Canada during these months.

Cancellation Policy

Deposits are non-refundable, but are transferrable to available dates in the same calendar year.
