Located 13 kilometres west of Golden, British Columbia, in the heart of the Rocky Mountains, we are a renowned lodge known for friendly hospitality and spectacular views. Hillside Lodge and Chalets offers you 20 acres of quiet, pristine wilderness to enjoy, as well as convenient accessibility to all popular outdoor activities in the Kicking Horse region and surrounding provincial parks – Banff, Jasper, Kootenay, Yoho and Glacier (Roger’s Pass).

Come enjoy the rustic, classic elegance of our main lodge and private chalets, as we provide you with an unforgettable mountain getaway experience.

Choose from either a spacious room in the Lodge or book one of our private chalets (available in one- or two-bedroom). All rooms and chalets boast a breathtaking view, whether it is of the mountains, the Blaeberry River or the meadows.

Our chalets are pet-friendly! We have a very friendly dog of our own, and we are happy to accommodate your furry family members as well! Please be sure to let us know so we can make appropriate arrangements.

Breakfast & dinner are served to guests of Hillside Lodge only. Due to limited seating, RESERVATIONS ARE REQUIRED for all meals.

Breakfast
Breakfast is served daily from 7:30 am - 10 am. We have a small but delicious breakfast menu ranging from bacon and eggs to granola and yogurt. Prices vary.

Dining
Dinner is served Friday and Saturday nights by ADVANCED RESERVATIONS only.

All of our meals are homemade fresh daily.

We also have a BBQ area with BBQ and fire pit, which our guests are welcome to use. Our cabins are equipped with kitchenettes allowing you to prepare meals in the privacy of your cabin.
The lodge rooms have bar fridges and complimentary tea and coffee.

Weddings at Hillside Lodge are not only unique, but also beautiful and timeless. The barn venue boasts exposed wood beams & tin roof, balancing rustic and modern seamlessly.

The wedding venue can seat 120 of your family and friends with plenty of space to expand with tents outside.

There are a few beautiful spots for the ceremony as well, should you choose to have everything in one location. Breathtaking views of the river and mountains all around will be the backdrop for your special day.

Your guests will enjoy 20 acres of beautiful, riverfront property with plenty of space to play or relax while you, the bride & groom, are off creating lasting memories.

We have put together an excellent selection of all things weddings in Golden B.C. to help your plans – photographers, flowers, hair, makeup, catering, DJ’s, rentals, bartenders, etc, etc!

Whether you are looking for some indoor down-time, or seeking an exhilarating outdoor adventure, we have it all!

Unwind and Relax
Get your game on in our common area - equipped with cards, games, TV and books. Unwind with a movie, or kick back in front of the fireplace with a book from our personal library. Available in our winter and spring months (October to April), the 12-man hot tub, sauna and steam shower provide the perfect escape after an adventurous day! The communal deck is also a popular spot to relax in the sun.

Grab Your Gear and Head Outdoors
Take advantage of the snowshoeing paths right on site, or explore the unbelievably beautiful Moonraker X-Country biking trail system - enjoy some of the most amazing views in the area and get a great workout! The Golden Golf Course is also a major attraction. Take the gondola up to see Kicking Horse Mountain Resort's resident bear, Boo or just explore the area. There is no shortage of things to do in Golden and the surrounding area…no matter what season.

Individual Unit Description

One Bedroom Chalets & Duplex Units
All chalets have a queen or king-sized bed, fireplace, kitchenette, private porch, private bathroom and living area. The one bedroom chalets have comfortable futons, allowing up to 4 people to stay in one chalet. The Duplex units are comfortable cabin units, sharing one wall with the adjacent unit. These cabins have queen or king beds, fireplace, private porch, kitchenette, private bath and living area. These are often convenient for groups of 3 - 8 (renting 2 units).

Two Bedroom Chalets
Our two-bedroom chalets have either king or twin beds, kitchen (with stove), living area, dining area, fireplace, private bathroom and private porch. The living areas have very comfortable futons, expanding the sleeping capacity to a max of 6 people.

Deluxe Summer Suite
Our unique summer suite is available in the summer season only. This unit boast a private outdoor hottub, steam unit and radiant heat sauna. Complimentary tea and coffee are provided as well as a bar fridge. This cabin sleeps two people only. If you are looking for a romantic getaway, this is it!

Lodge Rooms
All guest rooms in the Lodge have a king or queen-sized beds and private bath. Most rooms include a private balcony. Complimentary tea and coffee are provided and B&B packages are available. There is also a small fridge in each room.
