Sandy Beach Lodge is an American Plan and Housekeeping Canadian Fly In Fishing Resort. Located on Trout Lake within the Trout Lake Conservation Reserve with over 150,000 acres of preserved pristine wilderness. Trout Lake has over 300 square miles of spring fed water and dotted with numerous islands, providing a variety of different structures to fish. Abundant with Walleye, Northern and Lake trout. Sandy Beach has been family owned and operated for over 40 years. We are one of the finest Canadian Fly In fishing resorts in Ontario. We specialize in first class service to both individuals and corporate groups. This along with our great staff, great food, the best guides and accommodations insures a great fishing experience.

To ensure generations of great fishing, we practice Catch and Release on all trophy fish. Fishing

Although we haven’t made Catch and Release compulsory, it is the common practice of most of our customers when fishing Ontario Canada. With a regular license you are able to take home 4 Walleye, 4 Northern's and 2 Lake Trout. With a conservation license you are able to take home 2 Walleye, 2 Northern's and 1 Lake Trout. All trophy fish must be released. You can keep one Walleye between 18.5 and 25 1/2 inches and all Northern pike over 27.5 inches must be released. This is very important to us to ensure great fishing for years to come here at Sandy Beach Lodge Ontario Canada.

Trout Lake is twenty- five miles in length with over one hundred islands. The inlets and narrows among the islands provide excellent fishing and protection in rough weather. Nearby are Otter, Mud and Little Trout lakes, also with excellent fishing and easily reached by boat down the Trout River. In all, there are over 100,000 acres of wilderness waters at your door step, with no portaging necessary.

Individual Unit Description

We specialize in first class service to individuals and corporate groups. It makes no difference whether you are an avid fisherman or a recreational angler. Our friendly informative staff will make sure that your Fly-in Fishing trip is unforgettable!

American plan and Housekeeping plan
Our well kept modern cottages accommodate from two to eight guests and provide comfort and relaxation. Each cabin is equipped with 24-hour electric service. Your heated cabins are fully furnished with full bathrooms, hot showers and comfortable beds. You get daily maid services including fresh bed linens and towels. Each cabin has a groomed walkway interconnecting the entire camp.

The FOOD!
Delicious and plentiful meals are served in our attractive main lodge which is also a popular meeting place where fishermen discuss the "ones that got away". You'll start each day with a hearty, made-to-order breakfast. Fresh caught walleye for Shore Lunch cooked over a roaring fire with all the trimmings. Shore lunches are prepared by your guides and will be the highlight of your stay. After each day on the lake you'll enjoy a 4-course dinner. The dinner menus change daily and include either entrees of steak, pork chops, turkey and dressing, chicken, roast beef and pork loin roast. All meals are served with soup, salad, potatoes, our famous homemade bread and desert.

The Lodge
Relax & reflect back on the day’s fishing, play pool, a game of cards or even hold a business meeting. If you want to work off that big evening meal we have Kayaking, Canoeing, Golf and Horseshoes.
