The Big Intervale Fishing Lodge is an ideal location for day trips throughout the Cape Breton Island. Begin your day with breakfast in our dining room, then spend your day sightseeing along the famous Cabot Trail, or fly fish along the majestic Margaree River, then return for dinner with us and an evening of rest and relaxation in your guestroom.

After a day of fly fishing or exploring the beaches or hiking through the hills exploring with colours, there is no better way to end your day than to dine in our casual dining room and to enjoy delicious fresh seafood, fish and our tantalizing swiss cuisine to which we are renown. And to finish off the evening we invite you to our cozy lounge. While sipping on a drink by the evening fire and exchanging the daily events with your old and new found friends, you will realize another great day ends and you have found just the spot.

Individual Unit Description

At the Big Intervale Fishing Lodge, the cabins are nestled under giant maples and surrounded with the majesty of the landscape. Soak in the lush green terrain with wild orchids and refresh your body, mind and spirit as you hike through the Big Intervale hills, ablaze with autumn colour.

Our accommodations are in well spaced double units. Each unit has one bedroom with either two double beds or one queen size bed. All units have a private bathroom with shower, hardwood floors or laminate flooring, electric heat, café maker, satellite TV and free high speed internet access. Some units have a fridge and microwave.

Our dining room and lounge is fully licensed. Our dining room features a changing daily menu, with three courses offered and a la carte available. We are open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Reservation for guests is not required but is highly recommended to ensure guests are able to dine at their chosen time.
