Fly or boat into our wilderness resort offering both housekeeping and american plan packages. Fish for walleye and monster pike by day, and spend your evenings in a cozy log cabin.

We are in the leisure, recreation and entertainment business and use fishing to deliver the product. Lake St. Joseph has been repeatedly named one of the Top Ten Walleye lakes in North America, by In Fisherman, a leading US sport fishing magazine.

Our heavy duty aluminum 17.5-foot Lund Outfitter boats are equipped with 40HP four-stroke, Yamaha outboards for groups with 3 fishermen per boat. Our guides use 17.5-foot Lund Outfitters with 50HP four-stroke, Yamaha outboards.

Fly Fishing
Exciting times as we see opportunities in our fisheries. Over the years we have periodically had customers try the art of fly fishing for Northern Pike and, once in a while, for Walleye but with limited success. I’ve often wondered why that couldn’t be a whole new area if we could ever get the right presentation and open that up as a brand new experience for our customers. We took a chance, and not much of one, I must admit, and hired Mike Verhoef of Fly Fitters. We asked him if he could come up as a professional and assess our lake. Together, we worked at developing Lake St. Joe as a fly fishing destination for Northern Pike and Walleye.

Well – Success! We do have the right lake, the right structure and a great opportunity to develop our fisheries and get directly into fly fishing, expanding our product and introducing something new and innovative for Northwestern Ontario.

I have hired Mike Verhoef to head up our fly fishing product complete with guiding, product development and promotion. As you can see in the last year, we demonstrated to Mike and Nick Pujic from the Canadian Fly Fisher Magazine, that we have a product second to none. – John Grace
