The main floor features a fully equipped kitchen and dining area; a comfortable living room with patio doors leading to the deck and a cozy reading room with an ocean view. There is a handy laundry nook under the stairs and a functional three piece bathroom with a shower, toilet and sink. The modern kitchen with stainless steel appliances blends nicely with the antique table and chairs in the dining area. The original painted pine floors and old wooden doors offset the eclectic furnishings of a well-travelled owner.

There are two bedrooms upstairs. The master bedroom has a queen size bed and a balcony that enjoys a fabulous view of Blanche beach, Half-Moons Lighthouse and the bold open Atlantic Ocean beyond. The guest room has a double bed and a view of the garden. There is a second bathroom with a large claw-foot bath that takes center stage in the room. With candles and luxurious towels you are sure to feel pampered! .

Outside a wraparound deck extends the living space and takes full advantage of the peaceful location and spectacular view of the beach.

Location

Sea Change Cottage is located at the tip of the Blanche peninsula on Nova Scotia’s scenic Lighthouse Route.

Situated on a scenic oceanfront property with views of the Half-Moons Lighthouse and direct access to Blanche Beach, Sea Change Cottage offers a welcome change of pace.

It is a short – one minute – stroll from this delightful vacation rental home to the deserted sands of Blanche Beach where it is impossible to resist the urge to do a little beach combing. Who knows what treasures you will find washed ashore by the wild Atlantic Ocean!

Approximately half way between Barrington Passage the historic Loyalist town of Shelburne with its restaurants, shops and other conveniences, Sea Change Cottage at Blanche is nicely situated to explore the Nova Scotia’s South Shore. Yarmouth is an hour away; while Halifax, Lunenburg, Mahone Bay, Peggy’s Cove and Digby are all pleasant day trips.

Additional Rate Information

To secure your vacation rental, a deposit of $500.00 CDN per week and the damage deposit waiver are due upon booking. Your booking is not confirmed until this deposit has been received. The balance of the rental fee is due 90 days prior to your arrival. Payment can be made either by Email Transfer, Visa, MasterCard or personal cheque in Canadian Dollars.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellation Policy:
Should you need to cancel your Nova Scotia vacation rental reservation; your cancellation notice must be made in writing - either by fax, email or mail.
For cancellations received before 90 days prior to occupancy and after a deposit has been made, $250 shall be forfeited from the $500 Reservation Deposit.
For cancellations received between 60 and 90 days prior to your arrival date, 50% of the total rental fee is forfeited.
For cancellations received between 30 and 60 days prior to your arrival date, 75% of the total rental fee is forfeited.
For cancellations received less than 30 days prior to the arrival date, 100% of the total rental fee is forfeited.
