Included in a one week stay-a guided hike with local licensed guide. The cottage stays cool on the hottest summer days as it is shady and a nice breeze is common.

Waterfront Description & Nearby Activities

This property includes several hundred feet of wilderness lakeshore from small pebble beaches to rocky points. The small beaches are great for swimming or putting in boats. A small wooden row boat made by a local boatbuilder is available to borrow or feel free to bring your own kayak or canoe. Fishing is possible. One beach is 30 feet from your back door. At the other end of the lake you are only 40 feet from the ocean and white sand beaches so a small portage can get you to the ocean quickly. Ocean beaches are not crowded-in fact you may not see others except on the warmest summer days. Several species of birds are commonly seen from your deck. Common loon, pileated woodpecker, kingfisher, spotted sandpiper, tern ,black duck, great blue heron, bald eagle, osprey, etc. Port Joli is listed as an IBA(important bird area) in Canada with several Federal Migratory Bird Sanctuaries locally. Thomas Raddall Provincial Park and Keji Seaside National Park are minutes away as is Summerville Beach Provincial Park, Carter's Beach and countless other white sand ocean beaches. There are several great beaches nearby which are popular with surfers such as White Point, Western Head and others. Historic towns of Liverpool and Shelburne are 25 minutes drive each from the cottage. Both have several very popular museums and nice waterfronts.

Additional Bedroom Information

Cottage includes 2 bedrooms and a 3-piece bathroom. The two bedrooms are upstairs and furnished with traditional Canadian-made vilas wood bedsteads, bedside tables and chairs. One bedroom has a small balcony overlooking the lake. Both bedrooms have double beds.

House Rules

We invite reservations. A deposit is required with the reservation of 25% of the total cost of the booking. At this time resevations are held by cheque or money order only, The deposit is held and refunded at the time of checkout or if cancelled at least one week in advance of the arrival time.
The cottage is very clean and neat upon arrival and it is expected to be left in realitively the same state.

Cancellation Policy

Reservation deposits will be refunded in full if the reservation is cancelled at least a week in advance other wise the deposit will be retained.
