Hunting success rates at Wildewood Lodge on Lake Savant in Northwest Ontario, Canada are nearly 100 percent.

Are you a bow or rifle hunter seeking a challenging, rewarding experience? Wildewood on Lake Savant is one of the hunting areas in Northwest Ontario which boasts high success rates. Moose hunt resort accommodations are the same as our fishing accommodations, and moose season opening varies slightly year to year, but occurs in mid September.

Savant Lake area is in Wildlife Management Unit 16-B, one of the most remote regions. No guide is needed in this easy hunting area and complimentary orientation is available upon request.

Registered moose hunter guests are also welcome to fish and hunt geese, ducks and grouse with a proper, separate license. We have years of experience and are happy to answer your questions.

However, this beautiful wilderness has become a drive-to destination with our innovative 17-passenger Hagglund all-terrain vehicle. No gear limits, weight restrictions, or weather delays of an airplane. You can drive within five miles of the resort, park at our designated parking area, and be transported into our little piece of heaven!

Our six log cabins accompanied by a main lodge are nestled amidst deep pine forests along the shore of a spectacular lake. Hunt, fish and relax at our unique wilderness camp which shares its home with black bear, moose and Northwest Ontario's largest woodland caribou herd.

Additional Rate Information

At Wildewood on Lake Savant there will be no surcharges or hidden costs. Your transportation to the resort Guest Parking Lot, the closest you can drive, is your responsibility. Please call for options or see the Planning A Trip page for travel options.

Wildewood Fishing Rates
All packages include transportation to and from our Guest Parking Lot to the resort via our "Hagglund Haul" ATV transport vehicle. This large wilderness buggy will transport you and your luggage from our Guest Parking Lot in comfort, so you can drive instead of fly-in.

In order to offer the lowest prices to our customers we have put together the following packages:
Canadian Catch Package 5 nights: $969.00 per person (Arrive Saturday and depart Thursday)
Trophy Trip Package 7 nights: $1159.00 per person (Arrive Saturday and depart Saturday or arrive Thursday and depart Thursday)
Additional night stay: $140.00 per night, per person.
All funds in U.S. currency. Taxes not included.

Wildewood Hunting Rates
8 nights: $2,450.00 per person - Bull Moose Tag
8 nights: $1,600.00 per person - Calf Moose Tag
12 nights: $3,100.00 per person - Bull Moose Tag
12 nights: $2,100.00 per person - Calf Moose Tag

Additional night stay: $140.00 per night, per person
All funds in U.S. currency. Taxes not included.
