Waterfront Description & Nearby Activities

The cottage exterior has a large lawn gently sloping down to the water front where it meets the shoreline. The walkout to the water has firm sand underfoot and it deepens gradually; there is also a dock for mooring your boat, or the rowboat, canoe or paddleboat supplied at the cottage. You can also enjoy great swimming right from the beach or off the dock. The campfire is the spot to share smores under a starlit sky and marvel at the fireflies flickering nearby.
When you find the need to get out and about there is plenty to do within a 30-40 minute drive. The towns of Haliburton, Bobcaygeon and Peterborough all fall into this distance and here you will find a multitude of restaurants, art galleries, small unique shops and many other attractions and activities.

If outdoor adventure is more you cup of tea then the area is abundant for hiking trails with Highlands East (municipality just to the north) being the self-professed Geocaching capital of Canada. Haliburton Forest (approx 50 min drive north) has many activities including the renowned ‘Walk in the clouds’ experience as well as the wolf center and observatory.
