Only 2.5 hours from Toronto, our Muskoka cottage resort has a variety of on site activities to compliment our traditional and deluxe self contained cottages and motel style rooms. From our cottages you will enjoy a view of Peninsula Lake.

We have a wide range of accommodation styles. Our motel style studio rooms are an excellent choice for couples for shorter stays. Each motel room can accommodate up to four and feature fireplaces, mini fridge, hair dryers, in room coffee and televisions. The cottages at our resort have 1-3 bedrooms, full kitchens, living room, and bathroom. Our deluxe cottages have gas fireplaces, single air jet tubs, air conditioning, television and DVD.

You may choose to cruise the Muskoka Lakes on an authentic steamer the "Segwun", hike the many trails of Algonquin Park or go further a-field to visit Santa's Village for the children or the Haliburton Forest Centre and the Muskoka Wildlife Centre to experience the best in wildlife and nature viewing. This summer Santa's Village has added a new tree top and zip line experience. Huntsville and Lake of Bays are home to a thriving artisan community too. You will find wood craft, stained glass, pottery, bronzed statues and more. Huntsville is home to the newly built Algonquin Theatre. The theatre officially opened May 2005 and is home to the Huntsville Festival of the Arts program during July and many more exciting programs throughout the year.

Individual Cottage Description

Deluxe Cottage #'s 1, 2 and 3 are suitable for 2-5 people.

Deluxe cottages located in the middle of the property with a south west view of Peninsula Lake. There is a large flat lawn area in front of the cottage and shade on the deck provided by mature Birch trees. The interior of these cottages are recently renovated and features a pine interior, new furniture and appliances.

The living room/ dining area is combined in this cottage and features air conditioning, gas fireplace, ample seating, television and VCR or DVD

The kitchen comes complete with 14 cubic ft. frost free refrigerator, stove, microwave, pots, pans, coffee maker, kettle, toaster, dishes, corkscrew, utility knives and cutlery. A supply of dish soap, cloths and towels is provided.

Deposits: Weekly reservations $300.00/ week. All other reservations 50%, minimum deposit equals 1 night. Deposit payable by MasterCard, Visa, or Cheque.

Cancellation Policy

Deposit and Cancellations: Thank you for booking your holiday at Colonial Bay. What sets us apart from large hotels and big chains is the personal service you receive from us. We are able to do this because of the size of our resort - just 15 rooms and cottages. Because of our small size, cancellations and changes affect us significantly and we have little chance to re-book cancelled reservations. Therefore, we must adhere to a firm cancellation policy.

Summer Season - weekly bookings July and August: Cancellations before April 1st forfeit deposit unless the accommodation is re-rented for the same time period as the original reservation. A 100.00 administration fee will apply.

Cancellation made April 1st and later forfeit deposit.

Cancellation made within 4 weeks of arrival date are liable for the full reservation costs. This will automatically be billed to your credit card. If the accommodation is re-rented for the same time period only the deposit will be forfeited.

All other times: Cancellations made less than 28 days prior to arrival date forfeit deposit. Cancellations made within 2 weeks of arrival are liable for the full reservation costs.
