Property Description

There is nothing like Georgian Bay. Our little slice of heaven is located on a quiet and serene, beautifully treed rural road in Lafontaine, Tiny Township. Situated on the south of Georgian Bay, this place is the most perfect, peaceful getaway spot.

The cottage is a 3 bedroom fully insulated cedar building with cedar walls, beams and a cedar vaulted ceiling. Hardwood floors are throughout. There is a gas heated furnace for cool nights, and we are on city water. The cottage is just a 2.5 minute walk from Lafontaine Beach. Other luxuries for your comfort include: a clothes washer and dryer, an oversized lockable detached garage, deck furniture and a barbecue, a designated firepit, high-speed internet connection, DVD/CD player, a large television and basic satelite.

Enjoy your holiday for a week or two, a weekend or an extended weekend. We can accommodate your schedule (depending on availability). Bring your family or friends and relax. We can accommodate up to 8 people. The cottage is also dog friendly.

With the towns of Penetanguishene and Midland close by, you'll find lots of conveniences at your finger tips.

Winter, spring, summer or fall, you will always find something to do in the Georgian Bay area. Bask at one of the five nearby public beaches and enjoy the bountiful sky full of stars at night, or view the ski slopes at Collingwood across the water from the same spot on the beach. Amenities & Tourism

Awenda Provincial Park
Awenda Provincial Park is located in a beautiful setting on the shores of Georgian Bay across the bay from Georgian Bay National Park. The park is mostly hardwood or mixed forest, with areas of fen and bogs along with the fields remaining from earlier farms and homesteads.

Tiny Marsh
The Tiny Marsh is Ontario's first provincially owned and managed wetland. It is one of approximately 1,200 Important Bird Areas (IBA) recognized in Canada. It offers visitors year-round use of approximately 600 hectares (1,482 acres) of marsh and 300 hectares (741 acres) of field and forest.

Ferry
At the northern end of Tiny Township's amazing 70 kilometers of shoreline, you can take a ferry from Cedar Point to Christian Island, a native reserve where part of the land is leased to cottagers.

Tiny Trail
The Tiny Trail is a 23 kilometer recreation multi-use trail. It was one of Ontario's first rail-to-trail conversions when it was purchased in 1978. It is registered as part of the Trans Canada Trail System. Its southern terminus is at the Tiny/Flos (Springwater) line 1.5 kilometers north of Elmvale.

Beaches
The Township of Tiny has 70 km of shoreline. Five large water parks are designated for public use and activity: Woodland Beach, Bluewater Beach, Jackson Park, Balm Beach and the closest is Lafontaine Beach Park (a 2.5 minute walk from the cottage).

Why not plan a getaway this weekend to Lafontaine in Tiny Township, known for beautiful beaches? Driving to the cottage, you will become acquainted with the lush landscape that shapes the Georgian Triangle. Enjoy sights of deer, wild turkey and hawks as you drive through the country roads.

You will find us steps away from Lafontaine Beach where there is convenient access for your canoe or kayak. And we are only 30 minutes away from the white sands of Wasaga Beach.

We are located within 30 minutes of some of the best slopes Ontario has to offer, Snow Valley and Horseshoe Resort to the south and Collingwood to the west.

The area has something for everyone. Antiquing, spas, live theatre...fishing, ATVing, rock climbing...a light hike, a dip at the beach, and canoeing. Whatever you wish, Georgian Bay has many things to offer.

O' and by the way, we have a night life too! Karaoke and live bands are close by!

Master Bedroom: has a queen bed completed with bed linens and down feather pillows, closets and tables. This bedroom sleeps two.

2nd Bedroom: has a double bed completed with bed linens and pillows, closets and tables. This bedroom sleeps two.

3rd Bedroom: has a double bed completed with bed linens and pillows, closets and tables. This bedroom sleeps one or two. A small desk enables the room to double as a study. Bring your laptop if you wish. We provide a high speed internet connection.

There is a queen size pull out couch in the living room for extra sleeping capacity

House Rules

Rental agreement will be mailed or e-mailed to you upon rental booking.

Cancellation Policy

Full refund 30 Days from the date of occupation with no penalty, full deposit refunded. Within the 30 days to occupancy no refund unless we can rent the cottage then we hold back a 25% fee for administration. It is our intention to rent the cottage not keep your money.
