OMG, what a beautiful cottage, very clean, comfortable, cozy and a great view of a small part of this lake. The hosts are very accommodating, boat ramp on facility(no charge), use of dock(no charge), use of peddle boats, kayaks, again no charge. Everything you need is within a 15 minute drive, grocery store, butcher shop, beer and liquor store. Boat rentals witihin a 2 minute walk from cottage. The fishing on this lake is simply outstanding, walleye, pike, largemouth and smallmouth bass. If you ever get a chance to hire Andre MacKinnon(BASS PRO) as a guide whether for walleye, pike, bass he will put you on fish all day long, his rates are reasonable and he has a wealth of knowledge, techniques, equipment and a nice bass boat. Andre fishes pro tournaments(good luck this year). He also took us tubing and waterskiing with one of his boats. Sometimes they take everyone out on the pontoon boat to see the magnificent beauty this area has.
The lake is very clean and clear, beach in front of cottage for swimming, floating dock as the kids love this. Great fire pit for those campfires, wood again no charge(i'm lovin it), roasting marshmallows and weiners on an open fire, acoustic guitar playing as we sing songs in the gentle breeze, it was great.
There is a couple of golf courses witihin a 10 minute drive. One is an executive nine hole course, very fun to play. The other course is very long, has a few par 5's, more for the advanced golfer, which i am not. Overall, this is the best cottage I have ever stayed in at such a very reasonable rate for cottages in the area. Book your time before it's too late and enjoy a week or two of extreme relaxation.
