This cottage is perfect for your vacation to Southern Georgian Bay. Close to parks, marina, theatres and ferry tours. Enjoy the fireplace in the living room and cook your own meals in the full kitchen. Cottage features a patio deck running the width of the cottage complete with propane barbaque, padio furniture, padio doors & a meshed net canapy. Enjoy roasted hotdogs & marsh mellows in our open fire pit.

Area Information

The Victoria Harbour Lumber Company homes were painted bright yellow, giving the town the nickname
“Canary Towne.” The Company store, where the mill workers bought most of their goods, was also painted yellow.

Waterfront Description & Nearby Activities

The waterfront is directly across the road from the cottage thru an easement access between 2 cottages. This park/beach, MacKenzie Park, is managed by the county of Tay and frequented by local cottagers & boaters, so it is never over crowed. Its beach is sandy and its water is shollow and fresh, ideal for small children. The park has playground equipment, picnic tables, a volleyball pit & net (just bring your own ball).
If you bring a boat you could rent a slip at the Marina which is a block away or you can dry doc the boat at the cottage and slip it in one of the 2 public docks.
If you prefer a larger tourst beach, there are several. 20 min from the cottage is a larger beach right on the open bay with restaurants, bars, water bike rentals, this is called Balm Beach perfect for young adults. 35 minutes from the cottage is the largest fresh water beach in North America called Wasaga Beach, worth a trip. There is a very nice park/beach right in Midland call Little Lake, don't miss it & don't forget to shop in Midland after your picnic there are some cute shops.

This cottage has 2 bedrooms with queen beds and a futon to accommodate up to 6 people. Mattress covers and comforter are provided, renteres must bring sheets, pillows & towels.
