Property Description

Linden Homestead B & B is a beautiful century old house on a five acre property, which boasts a grove of huge Linden trees, lots of open space, and a small woods, where a den of foxes live. Sometimes, in the evening we see them crossing our field on the way to hunting for their dinner! Stroll Linden Homestead at night and you will experience the peace and quiet city dwellers cannot even imagine! The clear night sky offers perfect star gazing conditions. Be sure to bring your cameras!

Your hosts, Drew and Frances Coburn, purchased the property in the fall of 2008, and are currently
in the process of upgrading the facilities. When you stay with us during the summer of 2010, you will enjoy 3.5 - 4 Star accommodations with sparkling, new bathrooms, featuring soaker tubs and separate, glass showers, all new mattresses, bedding, air conditioning, flat screen TV, DVD players and freshly decorated rooms.

Linden Homestead is surrounded by farmland, but is close to one of the best known lobster pounds on the Island such as: Carrs Lobster Pound and Wharfside Market - which sells fresh seafood caught in the Atlantic Ocean. In addition to lobster, their selections include Malpeque oysters and blue mussels, shrimp and scallops! You can walk or bike (we’ll lend you ours!) to the pound, bring back fresh seafood, and cook right away, for an Island feast like no other!

Area Information

Anne of Green Gables:
5 minutes away from Linden Homestead is the town of Cavendish - home of the orphaned, red haired, spirited Anne Shirley who found her way into the hearts of the island people in the world famous books by L.M. Montgomery.

Visit Green Gables in Prince Edward Island's National Park, built in 1831, this famous farmhouse is nothing short of National Historic site. When Montgomery published her novel "Anne of Green Gables" in 1908, people began flocking to Cavendish in search of the inspiring town of Avonlea.

You can shop at The antique and memorabilia stores, learn about the author and see where she taught school or just take a walk in the Haunted woods!

Individual Unit Description

The West Cottage
(1 bedrooom/double occupancy)
Our 1 bedroom cottage is newly renovated; spa-style
bathroom, Scenic deck, and decorated; Flat Screen
TV/DVD, . It has a fully equipped kitchen, large living
room and a large bedroom with a King bed. This cottage
has a deck, patio set and a BBQ for outdoor suppers.

The East Cottage
(2 bedroom/Quad Occupancy)
Our 2 bedroom cottage is newly decorated with air-
conditioning. It has a fully equipped kitchen, a large master
bedroom with a Queen bed and a large second bedroom
with twin beds. This cottage has a large living room with a
deck, patio set and BBQ.

South Suite
Our South Suite is newly decorated in a fresh, spa style. It
has a queen sized bed, a sitting area and a luxury bathroom.
For those hot summer nights, the suite has air-conditioning.

East Suite
Our East Suite, newly decorated and has a separate
entrance, a large living room, a luxury bathroom and a king
size bed. This suite also has air-conditioning.

Additional Rate Information

Additional persons staying in the B&B are $25.00 per night extra.

House Rules

A deposit for reservations can be made through Certified Cheque or Money Order, unfortunately NO postdated Cheques.

A two-night NON-REFUNDABLE deposit will hold your reservation.

The balance of your reservation is payable 60 days prior to your arrival.

Cancellation Policy

45 days prior to Arrival: 50% is refundable
10 Days prior to arrival or less: 0% is refundable
