Our Two Night Stay Made Us Wonderful New Friends
We had the good fortune to meet the Abbott family in August of 2009 when we stayed in their wonderful B and B. The bedrooms are certainly 4 star, both with private bath and incredible beds. The breakfast is prepared by Rowena Abbott as she and Preston tell tales of life in Bonavista and answer all your questions. Home made partridge berry jam for the toast, of course, and great blueberry pancakes. A wonderful view of the ocean from their sun-soaked deck. Our two night stay here made us wonderful new friends, and was indeed a highlight of our Newfoundland adventure!

When It Comes To B & B's It Doesn't Get Any Better
This past July we had a delightful stay with Preston & Rowena at their beautiful home; when it comes to B&B's, it doesn't get any better!!!! Beautiful spacious room, immaculate home, mouth-watering breakfast; we were welcomed into their home as if we were family...we put our feet up and relaxed and had a wonderful evening....what more could you ask for!! Thanks Preston & Rowena. We highly recommend this B&B. P.S. Thanks for letting us park our helicopter in your backyard, and we hope to see you both again real soon. Calvin & Florence

True Newfoundland Hospitality
True Newfoundland hospitality. We loved the Spice Room and the friendly, welcoming, festive atmosphere of Abbott's B&B. Rowena's and Preston's breakfast was home style delicious. After one night we felt among old friends and already we know where we'll stay the next time we visit Bonavista.

Beautiful Home, Clean, Comfortable, Warm
We were referred to Abbotts as we were late in arriving in town and fortunately, they had a bed for my grand daughter and myself. Beautiful home, clean, comfortable, warm in hospitality. The breakfast was super and my Maddie enjoyed 3 blueberry pancakes....also the puppy which I was afraid she would try to smuggle out with us. Bonavista is a beautiful part of NFLD and we will be back.....Thanks Preston and Rowena.....

Thank You For Making Our Stay A Great Memory
Thank you for making our stay in Bonavista a great memory. We enjoy your company at breakfast table and your suggestion for what to do and coordinating with Herb Butler to give us the boat trip of lifetime in seeing the icebergs and seals.

Five Stars From Us!!!
We came upon your bed & Breakfast accidentally, having arrived in the evening, without a reservation... but were so thankful that we found your delightful home away from home. The room was perfect for our needs, the breakfast as good as it gets, and your warmth and serviceability was typical of the spirit and hospitality of Newfoundland. Five stars from us!!! Without Question, I'll Be Back
I second every positive review on this list. Preston & Rowena are wonderful hosts and their B&B is the perfect home-away-from-home for any traveller. My only regret is that I stayed only one night. Without question, I'll be back to beautiful Bonavista and this friendly home on Cape Shore Road. In the meantime, I heartily recommend Abbot's Cape Shore B&B to everyone!

My Stay Was Excellent, The Accommodations And Food Were Great
My stay was excellent. The owner's were very hospitable. The accomodations and food were great. I felt like I was staying at my mothers house. The view is awesome. If I'm ever in Bonnavista again, I'll be staying there for sure.

A Wonderful Experience!
A wonderful experience! Our hosts, Preston and Rowena were exceptionally friendly and helpful. The breakfast was delicious and hardy. The best eggs I've ever had. The blueberry pancakes and toast and jam were delicious also. I'm salavating thinking about it. This B & B is very clean with in room bathrooms. It was delightful to sit and relax on the deck with a beautiful view of the ocean and cove. We were a group of 5 adults (2 couples and our mother). There was plenty of room for us and we felt right at home. We all highly recommend it and would love to come back!

We Were Treated Like Part Of The Family
My husband and I stayed this August 2008 and were treated like part of the family. The house is very warm and our room and ensuite bathroom were very comfortable. Rowena is very welcoming and her husband Preston has great stories of life on this great island. They were both very helpful with sightseeing suggestions, even leant us their binoculars to better view the whales off the coast of the near-by lighthouse. Bonavisa is a great place to stay with lots to see and do. I would definately recommend staying with Rowena and Preston. Thank you for a great experience.

The Abbott's B&b Is A Hidden Gem
The Abbott's B&B is a hidden gem on the outskirts of Bonavista. Rowena and Preston were so welcoming and helpful with directions and our wardrobe malfunction. It's a clean and comfortable place to stay - well worth the drive.
- Jennifer & Robin, from Ottawa, Ontario 21 August 2008
Thanks Heaps For The Great Time
The Abbott's B&B is an inviting, warm , welcoming place to stay. The hosts are very knowledgable about Bonavista and the surrounding area. They are very friendly and do their very best to make sure you feel extremely welcome. The B&B is very clean and immaculately kept. The bed was well above the average one finds in a B&B and the washroom (something we travellers tend to look at) was well appointed and alos immaculate. My wife and I would not hesitate to recommend this B&B to anyone going to the Bonavista area. Thanks heaps for the great time.

This B & B Is Immaculately Kept
The Bed and Breakfast is a wonderful place to stay. The hosts are really friendly, easygoing and make you feel extremely welcome. The B&B is immaculately kept, clean and has been very tastefully decorated with a Christmas theme which makes it feel a bit festive at all times. The bed was wonderful to sleep on and the bathroom felt very luxurious with the small amount of space they worked with. I would definitely recommend this Bed and Breakfast to anyone who travels to Bonavista.

Preston And Rowena Are Two Of The Most Hospitable People You Will Ever Meet
I have stayed at Abbott's Cape Shore several times over the years. Preston and Rowena are two of the most hospitable people that you will ever meet. Their house is yours while you are there and they will be your friends long after you leave. I would highly recommend Abbott's Cape Shore to all. If you are looking for a very clean home away from home - look no further, just call and reserve..

I Have Been Treated Like A King
Great B&B, very nice people, cozy room and do not miss the terrace on the ocean. I have been treated like a king. PS: Bonavista is worthing a visit!

Nicely Decorated And The Owners Made Us Feel So Welcomed
I.. my wife and I spent the night at Abbott's B and B on the 16th of July 2008. Very clean, nicely decorated and the owners made us feel so welcomed eg "make yourself at home" which was meant literally. I got my own ice from the fridge. The deck out back looks over the bay..we could see the whales at play. The room we had was great but not expansive..queen bed (very comfortable) with our own ensuite. Best breakfast we had in six days. The homemade blueberry muffins are to die for. You can have a full breakfast here unlike the continental at other B and B's. Preston and his wife (sorry I forgot her name) are charming and prepared to extend themselves to make you feel welcome. They know the area well and can offer good advice on what you might want to do during your visit.

Beautiful Clean Home With An Unobstructed View Of The Ocean
Some shockin' good! Beautiful, clean home with a calming, unobtructed view of the ocean. Our hosts, Preston and Rowena, made us feel so comfortable and at home and are a wealth of local information. Thanks for the houses, Rowena! What a wonderful time we had staying with you. We came as strangers and leave as new friends!
- Dave & Diane Simpson, from Crowsnest Pass, Alberta 13 July 2008
One Of The Nicest, Friendliest Places We've Stayed
This b/b is one of the nicest, friendliest places we've stayed. very clean, cozy rooms, all the amenities you could possibly want, excellent breakfast (more than you can probably eat but give it a try) and one of the few places in NL i've found with lots of birds to watch. homey yard and best of all, warm and welcoming hosts. we felt right at home.

Amazing Hosts, We Highly Recommend This B & B
Both Rowena and Preston were amazing B & B hosts. We felt like family when we visited Bonavista in August of 2004. We highly recommend this B & B for the location, the food, the immaculate rooms and most of all the hosts. This is what Newfoundland is all about...its people.
