This quaint, waterfront, winterized, 1 ½ storey cottage built in 1998 is set approximately 200 feet from the southern shoreline of the property. It is located well apart from the other cottage nearby to ensure your privacy. The cottage has an open floor concept with sitting area, fully equipped kitchen, and a 3-piece bathroom with shower on the main floor. The bedroom with a queen size bed and closet space is on the second floor. A barbeque has been provided on the front deck for your use, and there is a separate screened-in porch attached to the deck.

Boat Cottage

A converted retired coastal Cape Island fishing boat, the Danny Boy 5, is offered as a special service to our guests who require extra sleeping quarters. Originally from Arisaig, Nova Scotia, the Danny Boy is now “dry docked” on a gravel slip set alongside a beautiful pine forest. The boat is outfitted with a queen-size bed, a 3 piece bathroom and a screened-in porch.

Waterfront Description & Nearby Activities

The property has waterfront on the north and the south. A 1 1/2 km walking trail follows the shore lines and meanders through woods. There is a shallow access beach and a boat ramp on the north shore. We offer you the use of a canoe.

Approximately 8 km north of Antigonish, Nova Scotia, just off Route 337, lays historical Town Point, the original town site claimed in the late 1700’s by Captain Hierlihy. The 20-acre parcel of land is part of an 80-acre island connected to the mainland by a narrow causeway positioned about 1 km inside the entrance to the Antigonish Harbour.

The town of Antigonish offers all shopping amenities and many restaurants. Points of interest include the St. Francis Xavier university, the Coady International Institute, Antigonish Theater Summer Festival, the Highland Games in July, concerts, art galleries, artists studios, the town's People Library, a golf course.

The Mini Trail section of the Sunrise Trail will take you along the coast to breathtaking views, beaches, fishing wharves, and the Cape George Light house.

Halifax, Cape Breton Island and P.E.I. are only a few hours drive away.

Additional Rate Information

The basic rate is for double occupancy. There is an additional charge of $10.00 per extra person to a maximum of 4 people per rental. This rate does not include the 15% HST.
We have a no pet and no smoking policy.
We offer a refitted on dry land fishing boat as a guest room at the cost of $50.00 per night. The guest boat features a bedroom with queen size bed, a bath room with shower and a screened in porch.
