The Laurentians
Summer
Birds are singing, wild grasses starting to wave, and gentle breezes brush across the lake. The sun is just rising over the Laurentians and already it’s a fine warm day. In fact, it’s going to be another magnificent day. This morning it might be golf or cycling, with a picnic on the beach at lunchtime, followed by a lazy afternoon swim. Later on, perhaps a tour around the galleries before going to find a terrace from which to enjoy another gorgeous sunset, glass in hand.
Next day, it’s off into the mountains, far from the madding crowd, for an instructive day out among the native flora and fauna. When evening comes, let’s sit awhile by the fireside and hum or strum a few tunes both new and old, and garner a new store of memories for future days. In a water park with twisting, thrilling descents or in front of a stage show, emotions run high.
For relaxation, sport, culture and nature itself, or any other way you might like to enjoy summer at its best, it’s the destination par excellence.
Winter
It’s snowing in the Laurentians and time is standing still. Whether you hop on a snowmobile, put on your downhill or cross-country skis, relax in one of our numerous spas or simply savour the moment during one of the endless outdoor activities, the Laurentian region is just the right place for dreaming, even when you are awake! Under a frosty starry sky, the magic of winter is there, offering opportunities for contemplation or the revelation of a new adventure, to make your stay a moment of sublime happiness. Explore the wide-open spaces of virgin territory, enjoy the strong sensations of fast and furious winter sports, relax over and above the limit you thought possible, that’s what a winter experience is like in the heart of the incomparable decor of the Laurentians. For the space of a moment, life become more luminous, has more purity, seems kinder than ever: in fact, it’s more Laurentian!
