Property Description

Perched atop the tranquility and splendor of Lake Weslemkoon, 30 miles south-east of Bancroft, sits our 30’ x 24’ completely refurbished lake access cottage. A top bass-fishing lake, it is filled with loons, clear and potable water, and is surrounded mostly by protected crown land with thousands of acres of hiking trails – an artist’s and outdoorsman’s haven. Trails may be five minutes to the near-by Little Long Lake or an hour to Canoe Lake or Sleeper Lake; all are uninhabited lakes of spectacular beauty. With a 185’ waterfront, water activities abound - fishing, canoeing, kayaking, tripping, picnicking and camping - even over-night on a near-by island.
This LAKE ACCESS only by boat (60 HP. bow-rider) cottage has three bedrooms and a loft, cathedral ceiling and completely new: white pine paneling, red pine floors, designer cabinets, Jennaire cooktop/wall oven, sliding door, windows and steel roof. This is the first time rental guests have used this cottage. The kitchen is fully supplied, linens are provided, heat -if needed - can be electric or by wood stove.
Winter visits are also compelling.

Meals are often on the front deck picnic bench. Deck has a propane BBQ. Neighbours (including owners across the bay !) are sociable and fun with some active children.The kitchen is fully supplied with all utensils, dishes, glasses (some plastic) and stemware, cutlery, spices, staples and cleaning agents. This galley facility with an oven, stove-top, and microwave is any chefs dream! All linens can be supplied, the four-piece bathroom is spacious, a central vac. catches spills quickly. Boat Available 60HP Bow Rider 15ft.

If using our boat, the operator must have a valid, original Boat Operator's Permit in the boat at all times during use.
You should add liability insurance to your home owner's insurance for the rental time.
All damages and repairs to the boats are payable by the renting party to the owner.
Our boat can support tubing, but please no water skiing or wake-boarding.

Waterfront Description & Nearby Activities

Dock is 50' by 10' with deck chairs and park bench. water is 4 ft. deep at the dock and falls off quickly to 15 ft. Swimming ladder at the end of dock.

Additional Rate Information

All Rates are based on four (4) person occupancy, add $100 per week per additional person
, maximum 6 persons total.
Car & Boat Trailer (if applicable) Parking is payable upon arrival to Weslemkoon Marina. The rate is $12.00/day or $75.00/week. These rates are subject to change and availability, and are are not included in the cottage rental.
Water Taxi if special trips required outside of arrival and departure is available at extra charge of $60.00 one way subject to change and availability. Contact Weslemkoon Marina at 613-474-5201 for details on all rates.
Security $400 cash damage deposit required on arrival, that is returnable one week after departure.
Booking Fee 25% upon booking, non-refundable if cancelled within 30 days of arrival without a suitable replacement

House Rules

This Vacation Rental Agreement (this Agreement), dated , is entered into by the Guest specified herein (you), in favor of the owner of the Property (as defined herein). Reservation/Term.You hereby reserve the Property, subject to the terms and conditions of this Agreement. This Property has been reserved by you from 12:01 p.m. on (the Arrival Date) until 11:59 a.m. on (the Departure Date). Deposit. Your reservation is secured by a deposit (Initial Payment) made by you, which is equivalent to Twenty Five (25) percent (%) of booking term. If the terms of this Agreement are met, the owner will apply the Initial Payment to your total Rental Fee (as defined below). The owner will retain any interest earned on the Initial Payment. Guest Policies. By executing below, you acknowledge that you have received the Guest Policies of the Owner attached hereto as Attachment A, and that you have read and understand such policies. By executing below, you agree that you and your Permitted Invitees (defined below) will be bound by all terms and conditions of the Guest Policies. Prohibitions on Use. The Property is to be used by you, and any and all invitees, relatives, friends, or individuals who access, use, occupy or enter the Property (your Permitted Invitees) for general vacation purposes only. By executing below, you agree that you and your Permitted Invitees will not use the Property for hosting weddings, parties or other similar large gatherings. In addition, this Property is a non-smoking unit and no more than two (2) pets are allowed, unless agreed to by Owner. Smoking is not allowed inside the Property, housing more than two pets, unless previously agreed by Owner, hosting large gatherings, parties or weddings, or any other damage caused by you or your Permitted Invitees to the Property will result in a damage fee, which will be debited from your credit card.

Please obtain Liability insurance from your home owners insurance policy to operate the Owner's motor boat.

Cancellation Policy

CANCELLATION POLICY
Reservations cancelled at least 30 DAYS prior to stay will receive a full refund, less a cancellation fee. The cancellation fee is $2 per day from the booking date until the cancellation date, with a minimum of $50.00 and a maximum of the deposit received. We regret that for cancellations less than 10 DAYS prior to stay, the deposit is non-refundable unless a suitable replacement is found prior to booking date.
