Welcome to Kicking Horse Kabins, where we believe you have found the perfect place to stay in Kicking Horse Country.

This beautiful lodge on its own acreage was built from logs from the Blaeberry Valley and is a wonderful retreat for couples as well as groups of four, six or eight people.

Located in the heart of the Blaeberry Valley, just west of Golden, this stunning lodge has been designed and crafted from local materials. Rated 4½ Stars by Canada Select, this individually tailored retreat provides the perfect location, with beautiful views all around and under the ‘watchful eye’ of the magnificent Goat Mountain.

Perfect for skiing, hiking or simply just sitting back and taking in the mountain scenery... Kicking Horse Kabins is as individual as you.

With fantastic views of the surrounding mountain ranges, at the foot of Goat Mountain just minutes from the Blaeberry River and the Blaeberry back country areas, as well as being just a short drive to the town of Golden and the Kicking Horse Mountain Resort, Kicking Horse Kabins really is the perfect location for your great escape.

The lodge itself is lavishly decorated, with the thought of your comfort uppermost in our minds. We really do ‘think we have thought of everything', for your stay, from the simple addition of boot warmers to prepare your hiking or ski boots, through to the fantastic hot tub with stunning views of Goat Mountain.

Your reservation ensures exclusive use of the beautifully prepared lodge, with the option of a total self catering vacation or you can arrange for a fantastic dining experience, by our trained and experienced chef. All you have to do is make the choice!

Our Kitchen

Your stay at Kicking Horse Kabins can be totally different from just about any private lodge you would have stayed in before. We can help you take breakfast or dinner to another level.

In addition to our 'breakfast basket' options, during your stay at Kicking Horse Kabins, you have the unique opportunity of having our private chef come into the lodge and cook a wonderful 3 course meal for your group (minimum 4 persons).

Good food is an essential ingredient of a private catered experience, so if you are planning a celebratory meal or just have a busy day and don’t want to cook or go out to a restaurant, why not have ‘the restaurant’ come to you!

We can arrange to come into the lodge and prepare, cook, serve (and of course wash up afterwards) a wonderful meal of fine dining.

All the ingredients for our meals are carefully chosen and are of the highest quality, and produced locally or on-site wherever possible.

Breakfast packs, BBQ packs and picnics are also available on request. We really are as individual as you!

In addition to dining at 'home' in the lodge, Golden is very fortunate to have some fantastic restaurants too, for great breakfasts, lunches and leisurely evening meals.

Staying in Golden and the Kicking Horse Country is a fantastic gateway to so much more at any time of the year. Lake Louise is 40 minutes to the East, Banff less than 2 hours. Revelstoke is 90 minutes to the west and Panorama is around an hour south.

We can help you with all your vacation arrangements, from whitewater rafting or horse riding in the summer months, through to ski packages for the winter seasons.

Additional Bedroom Information

The 1200 sq ft lodge has 3 bedrooms on the upper floor, with luxurious king size or twin beds, dependant on your requirements. Each bedroom is fitted with high quality bedding, crisp and fresh with plenty of pillows. If you are a group of 8, for an additional charge there are two to high quality and comfortable Queen size futons downstairs, enabling a maximum capacity of 8 people in total in the lodge.

Every guest is supplied their own colour coordinated set of Ralph Lauren towels, as well as a housecoat and complimentary slippers. We also supply separate towels for use outside in the hot tub.

There are two beautiful bathrooms in the lodge, one upstairs and one down, each equipped with all the things you will need from complimentary shower gels to salon quality shampoo and conditioner and body lotion.

The spacious lounge area is also great for your group, equipped with a large Panasonic HDTV with a fully loaded HD satellite TV and movie package, so you need not miss those sporting events, films or TV series during your travels! Additionally there is a DVD player and plenty of complimentary films to watch during your stay. The lounge area is set around a lovely fireplace.

The dining area has a large table with seating for 8 people, enabling you to sit in comfort and enjoy all your meals, as well as stools at the breakfast bar, to the open plan kitchen, so some can keep the cook company.

Outside, on the private decks there is a luxurious 7+1 seater Beachcomber hot tub, where you can soak away after the days’ activities, whilst taking in the peace and quiet of the Blaeberry and its breathtaking mountain views.

Also outside on the deck there is a large propane BBQ, perfect for preparing the groups' al fresco dining. In the private grounds there is a firepit so you can spend your evenings enjoying the stars, as well as a patio table and chairs on the deck and a picnic table on the lawns, for that perfect mountainside dining.

Prices are for the entire lodge, with bedroom usage according to occupancy rate. Additional persons, to a maximum of 8, are charged at $25 pp., per night.

Couples Rates are now available for advance booking in mid and low seasons only. For High Seasons (summer and winter) advance booking is not permissible, the rate of $150 in high season is offered for last minute availability only.

We are Pet Friendly! We do have a charge for dogs of $25 each for the initial night and a total charge of $40 each for the duration of your stay. Small to medium dogs only, two dogs maximum and by prior approval.

House Rules

A deposit will be required of 25% of the complete booking cost, or one night accommodation charge, whichever is the greater. The balance is due on arrival/during your stay with us.

On bookings made with less than one month in advance, 100% is required upon booking.

Cancellation Policy

Deposits are non-refundable. If cancellation is received with less than 28 days notice, unless an alternative booking is taken, for the same period of the original booking, 100% of the accommodation charge is applicable. Notice of cancellation must be received in writing. Please ensure you have adequate insurance cover in case of cancellation.
