Situated on 1.5 acres of well treed property it has 268 ft of shoreline with beach, swim area and several docking facilities. It boasts a wonderful view of Canal Lake, is only one hour north of Metro Toronto, 30 minutes from Casino Rama and near a golf course (Western Trent) and within walking distance of the quaint village of Bolsover.
This facility is fully equipped to accommodate up to 14 people in 6 separate bedrooms, and its amenities include a billiard table located in a large, walkout rec room, a fully equipped kitchen, a two-sided wood burning fireplace (wood provided) servicing the living room and dining area, 1 full and 1 3pc bathroom, 2 TV's, DVD, Bell ExpressVu, and lots of board games for those cozy evenings of family fun. Wi-Fi is also available for use.
A large deck with propane BBQ, lakeside firepits (use deadwood from surrounding area).There are horse shoe pits and badminton for your fun and enjoyment on the property. Go for a nice paddle in any one of three water craft provided (14' canoe, paddle boat & 14' aluminum boat - renters are responsible for supplying their own life preservers) or drop in a fishing line to take advantage of excellent fishing (pickerel, bass, pike, muskie). You can bring your own motor or rent one from the local marina or there is an 8 h.p. motor available for rent from the owner at $100/wk - comes with full tank of gas (must be left with same).
For those with their own boats, there is a boat launch and marina within a mile of the cottage. You are only one lock (the historic Kirkfield Lift Lock) from a day excursion East on the Trent system to beautiful Balsam Lake. You are 4 locks west of Lake Simcoe. In Beaverton, about a 10 minute drive from the cottage you'll find an Independent Grocer, McDonalds and Tim Hortons.
