East Moore Lake

Set in the heart of the Canadian Shield, between the transition of the Kawarthas and the Haliburton Highlands, this multi-purpose property is perfect for families to enjoy.

Location: The cottage is an easy drive from the GTA at an approximate 2 hour arrival time. Enroute there are plenty of opportunities to pick up supplies, food, and use the boat launch if need be. It’s accessibility off of highway 35 takes you only a few kilometres on a well maintained road, veering off just enough to offer complete privacy and tranquility.

The lake is the smaller of two that connect, and will guarantee safe day-time swimming and glass-like views for evening festivities and canoe rides after a barbeque. The cottage is set in a small bay ensuring safe swimming for you and your pets! The inclusion of a raft in the middle allows for good jumps and cannonballs!

The waterfront is over 100’ allowing for wading in one area, and a substantial, child-friendly beach area in the other. The sand transition enables children to play on the perimeter, and the avid swimmer to quickly get on their way.

The property itself offers many opportunities including a bonfire pit at the water, an open grass area in front of the cottage enough to set up botchi ball and small soccer matches. Horseshoes on the side may also suit your fancy. There is a small wooded area behind that is part of the property, or you are you can go for walk around the lake or to other interesting destinations.

When it is time to snuggle in enjoy a cozy and fully functional kitchen, dinner can be served comfortably for the 8 guests, and you can retire to the front room to enjoy the granite fire place.
In summary, the cottage itself can be described as quaint, and more than functional. The property and lake make ‘Mor-Rock Acres’ the complete package and truly envied by anyone who visits.

There are 3 bedrooms; the main bedroom has a queen size bed with a dresser and a lamp in the room. There are hooks to hang up your clothes. The other bedroom has a dresser, queen size bed, and hooks to hang up clothes. The 3rd bedroom has twin bunk beds, a dresser and a lamp.
