The great room is grand indeed with a spectacular brick fireplace, sofa, 2 love seats, wingback chair and rocking chair, ceiling to floor windows, a piano, pinball machine and decor accents which are second to none. There is even a large bird cage if you wish to bring along your family parrot or cockatoo. The kitchen has everything you will need including a fridge, stove, microwave, toaster, toaster oven, coffee maker, bread maker, Espresso and Cappaccino Maker, dishwasher and all the cutlery, pots and pans you would expect in a quality vacation accommodation. Just off the kitchen there is a dining area with large harvest table with seating for ten in comfort. We could not resist showing you the beautiful decor accents which helps to set this cottage apart from most other cottages. The Master Bedroom is certainly worthy of it's name with a large queen size
bed, an antique bonnet chest and an en suite 4 piece bathroom for your convenience.

There are 2 additional bedrooms with one having a queen size bed and a kid size single and another bedroom designed for the young kids in the family which has a set of single bunks as well as another single with a trundle bed underneath to sleep yet another two.

Besides the master en suite, there are 2 additional bathrooms for your convenience. There is also a washer and dryer in the laundry room for all your laundry needs.

The outdoor shower with hot and cold running water - only available in summer.

The den can be yet another bedroom with a queen sofabed if needed. This den also includes the cottage television with VCR / DVD, play station, karaoke program, movie library, satellite reception
and another easy chair for your viewing pleasure.

The outside actually starts on the inside with a very attractive screened in sunroom with a sofa,
love seat and another chair as well as a bar fridge for your favorite libation.

Waterfront Description & Nearby Activities

This cottage is situated on Spruce Lake which is just north of the Village of Haliburton and which is part of a 2 lake chain with Drag Lake so there is plenty of water to explore. The cottage property is flat which makes it ideal for folks with knee, back or hip problems and there is even a ramp at the rear entrance to the cottage for anyone in a wheel chair. The outside of the cottage has furnished wrap around decks both front and back and of course there is a propane barbeque for the family chef who knows more about cooking than you expect especially when it comes to burgers, dogs and the occasional 16 ounce Porterhouse steak. To the rear of the cottage there is a large fire pit for those who love sing-a-longs and a marshmallow roast in the evening. We have saved the best for last which is an incredible beach which stretches the full width of the property with beautiful sand, a gradual entry and a sandy bottom. There is also an extensive dock where you will find your row boat, kayak and paddleboat for your on water pleasure. In addition there is a water trampoline moored off shore for the enjoyment of the children as well as a curved water slide and ladder at the end of the dock. In addition there is a hammock down at the shore for your afternoon snooze. All in all, this cottage has just about everything you will need for a great vacation but if you are in need of supplies, the Village of Haliburton is only 10 minutes away where there are quaint shops, large food stores, pharmacies, restaurants, live entertainment, banking, theatre and health care at the local hospital if needed.
