Diane and John welcome you to Linden Pond Cottage, nestled in trees with a large, private pond near Killaloe close to Ontario's famous Algonquin Park. You will be staying in a newly renovated, century old cedar log cottage, built using the open concept and heated by a wood stove.

It is an ideal setting for a retreat or peaceful getaway.. a small paradise for writers looking to work in isolation. The cottage is perfect for seekers of solitude and the natural surrounding nourishes body and soul. Space and tranquility await the single person but the cottage will comfortably house four adults.

The main floor is spacious and bright. A fully equipped kitchen, eating and living area open onto a screened-in porch. You can view the pond from the porch or relax watching a campfire from a nearby fire pit. The second floor has a master bedroom, a bathroom with shower, a large den with a pull-out couch and opens onto a balcony overlooking the pond.

Our Area

While at Linden Pond Cottage, you may wish to enjoy many of the local activities and the natural beauty of the area. We are at the edge of Algonquin Park, one of Canada's oldest and largest Provincial Parks. Many beautiful lakes, beaches and campgrounds can be easily accessed.

The River Run offers whitewater rafting on the Ottawa River for the adventurous at heart. Discover Bonnecheres Caves and go deep into the depth of prehistoric limestone caves. Top Of The Mountain Tours will have you experience the thrill of driving your own ATV through wonderful landscapes. The Madawaska Studio Tour, held in the Fall, takes you to the homes or studios of many local artisans. Arts and Crafts and Antique shops challenger you to discover the unique treasures and souvenirs of the area.

Waterfront Description & Nearby Activities

Open all seasons. May to mid-June plays the most incredible symphony by peepers and other frogs. July and August offer the mesmerizing chant of crickets and cicada. You can fish or swim in the pond or hike through meadows, marshes and forested areas surrounding our home. Take time to enjoy our flower and vegetable gardens. Winter invites you to snowshoeing and cross-country skiing.
