As the day ends and it begins to steal towards darkness, Jungle Cat World comes to life! The zoo, in twilight, is yours to explore as the nocturnal animals become suddenly active. Sounds seem to become clearer and sharper, your eyes more alert. You watch... but you are also being watched- by the feline hunter. Hear the deep roar of the Lion, as the King renews his nightly reign upon his Kingdom. Soon he is joined by the ghostly scream of the Cougars. Howl into the night listening for the response from the Wolves and Coyotes.

When you finally drift into relaxing sleep, feel the energy and raw power of the living night. As the new day is born, wake to experience the new order of life in the morning light - when the nights' prey become more confident, and the nights' hunters now rest. Enjoy your complimentary breakfast from the balcony, overlooking the zoo with a panoramic view of the countryside and Lake Ontario.

Jungle Cat World

Jungle Cat World is open all year round, 7 days a week, 10:00am to 5:00pm. We are located just 45 minutes east of Toronto! General admission allows guests the opportunity to walk around the park to see the animals. Interpretive signs posted throughout the zoo and our free guided feeding tour at 1:30pm daily, are both informative and interesting.

Imagine walking beside a young Tiger, petting a Wolf or feeding grapes to a Ring-tailed Lemur? All these opportunities and more are available through our Behind the Scenes program!

Safe and controlled interaction with animals in the zoo is an effective educational tool to encourage public awareness, understanding and concern for wildlife. The animals themselves have been socialized since birth and enjoy all the personal attention!

Individual Unit Description

Safari Lodge:
Large apartment with fireplace and balcony. Spacious living room with sofa-bed and complete kitchen. One bedroom (queen size) with an ensuite bathroom. Can sleep up to 5 people.

Lion's Den:
A quaint alternative just down the hall from the Safari Lodge. An apartment with one bedroom, living-room (with two double-sized futons), full kitchen and bathroom. Can sleep up to 6 people.

Additional Rate Information

Prices are per night, based on double occupancy and do not include applicable taxes. Children 2 years old and younger are free. There is a $25 fee for each additional person. Check-in is 4:00 pm and check-out is 1:00 pm. All reservations are prepaid. Sorry, smoking and pets are prohibited. A boarding service is available for dogs.

Rates include breakfast (self-serving). Enjoy free admission into the zoo for the duration of your stay. You are welcome to explore Jungle Cat World in the evenings or night, after we close to the public.
