Whether it's a group of friends on a fishing or hunting adventure, a family holiday, or perhaps an opportunity to entertain clients, fond memories of your stay at Lookout Point Camp are as certain as the countless stars on a clear summer evening. Whether it's an adventure on the water or looking out on it at dusk from the bug-free comfort of our screened-in porches, "roughing it" never felt so good! Fishing & Hunting

Fishing
Fishing opportunities at Lookout Point Camp are limited only by one's energy and imagination. Gowganda Lake offers miles of shoreline and its waters frequently yield 10 lb walleye, 5 lb bass, and monster northerns. Our remote back lakes provide a pristine wilderness backdrop for catches that can number in the hundreds. Dependable Deep Fisherman Naden boats with Yamaha motors are available through the camp. If you decide to bring your own boat to Lookout Point Camp, rest assured that exceptional docking facilities await. Also, the town of Gowganda has three launches suited to all craft from backtrollers to bass boats.

Hunting
Lookout Point Camp is located in wildlife management area #40, a region rich with dense brush, open fields, and quiet watering holes. Grouse are plentiful in this area, being found on most of the back roads and trails, leading even our novice hunters to a 100% success rate for this tasty bird.
If waterfowl are your quarry of choice, the bounty of lakes and marshes that dot the area make for limitless opportunity. For the adventuresome, moose are to be had in the hills, forests and clearings surrounding the camp. So, bring your rifles, shotguns, ATVs and camo. The abundance of game, picturesque scenery and cool fall air make for an exhilarating experience like no other. And, when the hunting day is over, you can put your feet up and trade stories in the cozy comfort of our Lookout Point cabins.

No one will ever visit Lookout Point Camp and find that things weren't as promised or as they appeared in the pictures. We pride ourselves in maintaining our equipment and facilities meticulously.
We offer an abundance of activities and amenities to make your stay easy and enjoyable. Besides being equipped with everything you'll need for a successful fishing or hunting trip, we offer a long list of opportunities and ideas to enjoy all that the area has to offer. Enjoy a swim or a game of volleyball on our child friendly beach. Rise with the mist for an early morning canoe paddle. Enjoy a picnic lunch by a magnificent waterfall at the south end of Gowganda Lake. Or, explore the many trails by foot, 4WD or ATV and experience a majestic glimpse of our beautiful northern wildlife and vegetation, including moose, eagles, beaver, and more.

Individual Unit Description

Renowned for their comfort, amenities, ample space and utmost cleanliness, our cabins provide a welcoming retreat to "hang your hat" during your stay.

Accommodations at Lookout Point Camp include two cabins with two bedrooms in each (sleep four), one three-bedroom cabin (sleeps six) and one six-bedroom cabin (sleeps 12). We have outfitted the three and six-bedroom cabins with a second refrigerator for added convenience. The six-bedroom cabin also includes a second bathroom.

Adding to the comfort and value, our accommodations include linens, paper towels, toilet paper, dish & hand soap, and fully equipped kitchens, including microwave ovens and electric coffee makers. For those mixing business with pleasure, we also provide free high-speed Internet access.

There is a minimum on our cabins, ranging from a 2 bedroom @ $840 for a week, to our 6 bedroom/2 bathroom at a minimum of $1610 for a week.
