The Facilities

- We have excellent docking & launching facilities.
- Paddles, anchors & P.F.D.'s are supplied.
- Boats are 16 foot aluminum with 15 hp motors & two swivel boat seats.
- Bait is available in Pointe au Baril & there are fish cleaning facilities, bait fridge & fish freezer on the premises.
- Clothes dryer with laundry tub available.
- We have a large sandy beach with chairs & loungers & plenty of grassy & shaded areas.
- In the village of Pointe au Baril, just 4km from your cottage, there is good shopping for everyday needs, a post office & a liquor/beer store.
- There is a resident doctor in Pointe au Baril & a hospital in Parry Sound, 40km away.
- Sunday church services are conducted during the summer months.

Waterfront Description & Nearby Activities

Bonfire get together - Thursday evening, during peak season (weather permitting). Enjoy swimming at our gently sloping sandy beach or take a boat and explore the miles of picturesque shoreline. Have a picnic on one of the many islands nearby. Pedal boats, canoes, windsurfers and kayaks are at your disposal & there is badminton, horseshoes & volleyball. Darts, fooseball and board games. Also limited exercise equipment. For the golfer, Parry Sound Golf Club is only a twenty minute drive.

For the bird watcher, there are Warblers, Woodpeckers, Blue Herons, Loons, Osprey, Merlins, etc. & even Bald Eagles have made a comeback. For the camera buff, there is an endless supply of gorgeous scenery. Pointe au Baril is known for excellent fishing, especially for Northern Pike, Walleye & Muskellunge, as well as Bass, Crappies & Pan-fish.

Individual Cottage Description

Our modern chalet style cottages are bright & spacious. Each cottage overlooks the water & enjoys a view of the beautiful Georgian Bay sunsets. All cottages are excellently appointed & fully equipped for housekeeping. Kitchens have electric refrigerator, & stove, toaster, drip coffee maker, microwave & all necessary dishes and utensils. Each cottage has a three piece washroom with shower, colour TV, propane BBQ, picnic table & deck. Other amenities include queen size beds & propane fireplaces.
All bedding is supplied. Please bring bathing & dish towels.
