Privacy that only the end of old Oak Point Road can provide! Shallow inlets, clean and shimmering water, large property with an abundance of character, towering mature trees, spacious lawns and professionally installed fire pit. Firewood is not supplied but may be purchased by the bag in Washago. Plus a large, very private sand beach where you can enjoy unsurpassed scenery while the little ones create their dreams in the form of sand castles. This is truly a place to capture those memories that you will re-live again and again!
The spacious living room has a glistening wood floor, comfortable seating and a large picture window overlooking the gorgeous Lake Couchiching shorelines. Enjoy the newly installed flat screen TV with surround sound and growing DVD library. Also equipped with an XM DOCKING STATION FOR YOUR EXPRESS XM RECEIVER. A new, gorgeous kitchen and newly renovated bathroom. Step out through the sliding glass doors to a large sun deck enclosed in safety glass railings so as not to impede the outstanding view of the lake. Deck furniture includes a large patio set with umbrella PLUS a separate outdoor bar for serving cool cocktails on a hot summer day. The cottage is fully equipped including fridge, stove, washer, dryer, microwave, dishwasher, Cable TV with VCR/DVD and high speed Internet and a large propane BBQ with propane supplied.

In addition to the main cottage there is a large, very unique and charming secondary cottage with a rustic WOOD STOVE to warm you on those chilly evenings. This fantastic cottage, built in the late 1800's and totally renewed is situated right on the water. This two level building is finished in glowing pine ceilings and walls plus gorgeous laminate wood flooring. It has new shutter equipped windows providing three directional views of historic Lake Couchiching. Walk out to the wrap around deck for vistas that will be everlasting. It is furnished with a fridge, microwave, games table, three pull out sofas plus a futon. PLUS, there is a home entertainment system with large 60" screen TV and wrap around speakers! It also has its own two piece washroom finished in glowing pine. This "Key Largo" style building also has it's own large BBQ located on the large attached sun deck. This is the ideal accommodation for overnight guests providing additional comfort, privacy and extra space. This is the perfect "Bunkie" to provide the separate space for teens or other family members. THE PRIVACY, UNIQUE CHARACTER AND DIRECTLY "ON THE WATER" LOCATION OF THIS HISTORICAL ALL IT'S OWN!

ALSO...A quaint and charming "Bunk House" situated by the water with its own front porch providing additional comfort and privacy for guests or anyone in your party. This bunkie is furnished with a futon and bunk beds.

Waterfront Description & Nearby Activities

This lakefront property has a large sweeping circular drive entrance with abundant parking and three directional views of beautiful Lake Couchiching. Marvelous and inviting flagstone walkways that connect various and interesting aspects of this gorgeous property. There is a 45 foot dock for boats and sunbathing. AND, located right next to the dock is your very own, private and professionally installed boat launching ramp. No need to go to the marina to put your boat in or take it out at the end of your stay....a luxury that very few vacation properties enjoy.

The gentle sloping lot and shallow sandy bottom shoreline is ideal for waders of all ages. Two paddle boats, canoe and 2 kayaks with life jackets are supplied. Excellent swimming, fishing and boating with easy access to Ontario's famous Trent/Severn Inland Waterway.

90 minutes from Toronto, Ontario, 15 minutes to Orillia, Gravenhurst and Ontario's famous Las Vegas style casino, Casino Rama, minutes to many ski resorts, snowmobile trails, golf courses, farmer's markets, boat rentals, horseback riding, lake cruises, walking trails, historic sites, live/screen theaters, casual/fine dining and antique shops. A short drive or leisurely stroll to the unique and historical town of Washago, Ontario.

Additional Bedroom Information

The beautiful Main Cottage has two bedrooms. One has one queen and one double bed and the other has one brass queen bed. There is also a queen size pull out sofa in the living room plus a large secional leather sofa.
The Historical Second Cottage has two sleeping areas. One has two sofa beds and the other has one sofa bed and one futon.
The Art Studio has a queen Murphy Bed plus sleeper couch.
The small bunkie has a bunk bed plus a futon.
**OUR PROPERTY WILL SLEEP UP TO 24 PEOPLE**

Additional Rate Information

**10% discount for bookings taken in June/12 for reservations through September/12**

Low Season: January to April and November to December.
Shoulder Season: May to June and September to October.
High Season: July to August.
Weekend rates available for low/shoulder seasons.
