Mahogany Manor is your place to stay in Saint John. Our turn-of-the-century Queen Anne Style Victorian home is located in the centre of Saint John – you may hear people refer to this as ‘Uptown Saint John’. You will be surrounded by fine architecture that you can enjoy by taking one, two or three self-directed historic walking tours available. Our home is on two of the routes. You will be staying in a neighbourhood with an active and eclectic arts/cultural community with live theatre, festivals, museums, and numerous art galleries- not to mention historic attractions like Saint John City Market and Loyalist House – conveniently located within a few blocks of our home. You can enjoy great culinary experiences – we have more than a dozen fine restaurants, pubs and bars within 3 to 4 blocks of our home – we keep their menus on-site. When you add to this knowledgeable, attentive hosts – we live on-site, modern amenities and great service you can count on a visit that will be ‘Distinctively Different’.

Individual Unit Description
This bright, sunny standard room provides a queen-size bed and a quaint sitting/work area just steps away from our extensive gardens.
This quiet standard room is on the north side of the house and hosts a queen size, four poster bed with a smaller in room sitting/work area.
This second floor deluxe room located at the front of the house has a queen-size bed, large in room sitting area and a private balcony with sitting area overlooking quiet tree-lined Germain Street.
Scarborough Fair is a deluxe room located on the main floor of the Manor. It is handicap accessible. Two great features of this room are:
1) zipper king bed – allows for either one king bed or two extra long single beds.
2) handicap accessible bathroom with bath chair, grip bars and toilet transfer bars (as required).
Please Note: All rooms have either one king or queen sized bed, private bathroom with shower-ensuite, sitting area, desk, telephone and numerous amenities. Each room is unique in its decor. The major difference between standard and deluxe rooms involves size – our deluxe rooms are approximately 1/3 larger in area and are better able to accommodate a cot for a third person. There is a nightly fee applied for a third person over the age of 12 years – please call us directly to discuss this matter.

We are open year round for your comfort and convenience.
We have a limited variety of rates available. Our seasonal rates begin June 1 and extend until October 31st. Our off-season rates begin November 1st and extend until May 31st. We are pleased to provide our business traveler with a Corporate Rate when travelling for business/government – please contact us directly to discuss this. We are pleased to provide persons having tests, procedures, treatments and/or with hospitalized family at the Saint John Regional Hospital with a Hospital Rate – please contact us directly to discuss this.
Your identified rate provides you with a variety of amenities and conveniences to make your stay pleasant, comfortable and memorable. It will include:
1) accommodation in one of five guest rooms with private, ensuite bathroom/shower. Our bathrooms are supplied with required linens, soaps, shampoo, toiletries and hair dryers.
2) a hot cooked breakfast served when you would like it between 6:30 and 10:00 AM daily. We have the ability to accommodate a variety of dietary needs/requirements. If you have special needs – diet/allergy/dislikes – then please call us directly to discuss this.
3) off-street parking for one vehicle/guest room.
4) complimentary wireless internet service. Our system is encrypted so please check for an appropriate password. A computer is available in our business centre for guest usage along with printer and fax machine.
5) laundry room usage – please check for the best time. We have to get ours done first. The laundry room is not to be used between 10 PM and 8 AM daily.
6) $10.00 discount on in-house massage therapy depending upon availability. Carl is a registered massage therapist. Please schedule this with him directly.
Payment may be made using cash, debit card, credit card or Traveler’s Cheques.
All reservations require providing Mahogany Manor with a valid 16 digit Credit Card Number, Expiration Date and CVM (three numbers on the back of VISA/MasterCard Cards or four numbers on the front of American Express Card). We will contact you within 48 hours of making your reservation to obtain this information or you may call us toll free within North America at 1.800.796.7755 or 506.636.8000 if outside North America.
If your reservation is to begin within 72 hours of you making the reservation we request that you contact us directly by telephone to confirm.
Smoking is not permitted anywhere within the facility but is permitted in designated areas on the property. A $300.00 cleaning fee will be applied to persons identified as not abiding to this directive.
We do accept the accompaniment of your family pets (cats/dogs) within certain guest rooms, however, arrangements must be made in advance. Pets are not allowed to sleep on guest beds and must be in their crate when the pet owner is not present.
Infants and children are welcome. Children under the age of 12 years stay at no additional charge. We are unable, due to liability issues, to provide infants and/or young children with cribs for sleeping. These requirements must be provided by the parent(s).
We do host personal, business and private functions within the facility but make every effort to limit the impact upon our guests. We encourage guests to welcome their family and friends into the facility but ask people to be mindful and respectful of the impact upon others. Quiet time is identified to be from 11:00 PM until 8:00 AM daily.
