Our country accommodations offer you quiet comfort in a rural New Brunswick setting. Drink our refreshing deep well water, fall asleep to the sweet smell of cool country air, and to the sound of crickets. Enjoy the simple pleasure of picking wild blueberries in season-a lovely romantic getaway, or just enjoy some good old rest and relaxation.

Our beautiful guest cottage is a charming reminder of the past, as it was orginally the summer kitchen ell of our Greek Revival home (built by Irish immigrants in 1841). Moved off the main house in 1981, it has served us well as a Country Antique Shop, later a seasonal Christmas shop. It has recently been converted to a delightfully decorated "holiday house".

The decor is truly unique-a wonderful melange of many antique pieces, seashell decorated walls and furnishings, hand painted walls and cupboards, two great "shabby chic" bedrooms, one large country bedroom; two large sun-filled living / dining areas, wrap-around deck, full bathroom, full kitchen facilities with all appliances; TV/VCR/DVD and free use of our many family-oriented films. Country continental breakfast available upon request. This is a smoke-free environment. Well-behaved pets are most welcome, however, we do ask that dogs be kept on a leash while outside.

Individual Unit Description

After a long day's drive our guests may not want to travel out for dinner. We have a stocked pantry that will easily provide you with an excellent meal. Items included in the stocked pantry are sugar, flour, cooking oil, pasta, pasta sauce, cereal, coffee, tea, soup, cocoa, condiments, spices and much more. In addition, the refrigerator is stocked with 1 pound of bacon, 1 dozen eggs, 1 pint of coffee cream, 1 loaf of French bread, orange juice and blue bonnet margarine. All of these items are provided for our guests free of charge. Upon your arrival we will also provide you with Gael's homemade blueberry strudel coffeecake.

The guest house also has a TV with DVD and VCR players. While we do not have cable television, we do have many family oriented films for your viewing. Our guest house features a porch and patio for our beautiful farm land views. There is more than enough room to relax and enjoy the scenery of the Arcadia region. Pets are also allowed to stay at our beautiful guest house.

Additional Rate Information

Terms: $100.00 per night (for double occupancy), $15.00 per additional person per night. Cottage limit is 6 persons. Plus 13% HST. Payment by travellers cheque or cash. For reservations, please call 506-538-7493. Many exciting and entertaining day trips are within easy and pleasant driving distances. We are less than 20 minutes away from either Prince Edward Island or Nova Scotia. Less than 5 minutes from uncrowded local beaches. Come and be welcome to the Maritime Experience awaiting you!
