Not Your Usual Cottage

We try to give you a special experience at the Lighthouse. It was a dream of ours to complete it, not to just make a rental property, so you have a very uniquely decorated and furnished cottage. Our guests enjoy antiques, art, feather betts, down duvets, 100% cotton percale linen, Phaltzcraft dishes, good cookware, pannini grill, and, appliances. You expect it to be there, it's there.
Several relaxing areas make the cottage comfortable for together time or private reading, getaways.
We are looking to sell the Lighthouse and are open to discussion. It is currently listed but will only be shown on off rental days or by mutual agreement.

Waterfront Description & Nearby Activities

We have a poured dock and boat slip with @ 8 ft of water at the waters edge and a floating dock. There is a marked deep water channel going from the river through the Bay directly to Lake Huron.
Great fishing but also great kayaking and general exploring of the magnificent shoreline, islands, rocks and vistas.Shallow sand beaches are minutes away by car or a short paddle.
This area is known as the Dive capital of Ontario with many wrecks to explore, starting at the Dive shop in Tobermory or a relaxing Glass Bottom Boat Tour of the Wrecks. The Ferry for Manitoulin Island leaves from Tobermory, @ 45min north, and they have art galleries and many tourists attractions. Of course the Bruce Trail runs right up the penninsula so you can access many great hiking trails as well as 2 Provincial Parks within minutes drives. There are Summer Festivals, Art Tours, and Country Markets and Flea Markets close by

Mainfloor LR/DR & Fully equipped kitchen, Queen bedroom and bathroom ensuite. Mainfloor walkout to two sided deck with BBQ and ample outdoor seating. Firepit, Concrete dock, boatslip with 8' depth water.Paddle boat and "sit on" Kayak.

Second floor has Library, TV room, plus queen and double bedroom and full bath. All percale bedding, down duvets, feather betts.

Third floor observation room with seating area, kitchenette and walkout to walkaround deck and amazing views of the Bay and sunsets.
