Outdoor Entertainment

Excellent swimming:Excellent dock with heavy duty 5-step dock ladder.
Watercraft: Canoe, paddle boat, 3 recreational kayaks, and life jackets provided.
Water games:noodles, tubes, fins, masks, snorkels, also provided in a few sizes.
On-shore games: Badminton with good quality rackets, crocket, bocce, horse shoes, ball gloves, etc.

Bird watching and animals:
many, many hummingbirds - feeders and food provided; finches, blue jays, chick-a-dees, woodpeckers, flicker, eastern phoebe, nut hatches, warblers, ducks, loons, etc. Even a stately heron that sometimes visits our dock. There is an abundance of friendly chipmunks and little red squirrels that busily scurry about but always have time to be hand-fed unshelled peanuts! Our larger pets are the raccoon families that come around just as the smaller creatures go to bed. For the more adventurous, our country raccoons will, ever-so-gently, take pieces of peanut butter sandwiches, or a peanut, from your fingers! We have also had deer on the property. Will you be lucky enough to see one swimming across the lake? In the spring, winter & fall, especially winter, their numbers increase dramatically and deer no longer run away when they see us! You simply cannot buy these kinds of therapeutic entertainment!!

Star gazing:
There is an ever increasing interest in the planets, moons, clusters, nebulas & constellations. The annual recurring "Perseus" meteor showers are around mid August? no equipment needed - you only need to sit outside or lay on the dock to witness this grand spectacle of shooting stars!

Beautiful Winter Paradise:
LakeSide is a very different but equally beautiful paradise in winter. After the lake is completely and solidly frozen (usually by Christmas), it remains safe to be upon all winter (about 4 months). It is great for cross-country skiing and snowshoeing.

Very spacious with 2 very large windows and patio door almost side-by-side panoramically overlooking garden and lake. 3-seater futon, fireplace, 3 piece imported African fabric couch set. Beautiful western cedar features including full ceiling. Decorated with African masks, grass mats on heated stone floors, baskets, an unbelievable stone statue, etc., to take you even further away from home and everyday routine.

Master Bedroom
African Music Room
Master Bedroom boasts a quality queen-sized bed (and all bedding) complimented by a large window overlooking the lake. The comfort of the bed-set, the sound of waves lapping on the shore, and the imaginary enchanting music from the displayed musical instruments, will surely provide restful nights!

Guest Bedroom
Quality double bed (and all bedding) also makes this room perfect for resting/reading/sleeping. Identical large window facing the lake. For the time being, the theme of this room surrounds German (Black Forest) wood carvings.

Bathroom
4-piece with quality modern fixtures including neo-angle shower and a touch-pad controlled therapeutic bathtub. Quality mats, towels, face cloths, toilet paper, kleenex, soap, shampoo, etc., are provided.

Kitchen
Large, modern, fully equipped with great view of the lake. Counter sitting for 2, lots of cupboards and ample counter space for those who wish to try new recipes. Three fully loaded kitchen utensil/gadget drawers including cutlery, sharp knives and BBQ utensils. Pots/fry pans/baking sheets/dinnerware, etc. Maytag dishwasher, big refrigerator with large top freezer/ full-sized stove&oven, microwave, 10 cup drip coffee maker, toaster, kettle. Also provided are tea&hand towels/dish cloths, coffee filters, all soaps & misc cleansers.
