Minutes from the bustle of downtown Peterborough, awaits the opportunity for peaceful relaxation at Twin Pines Bed and Breakfast. We welcome you to share our home, enjoy our gardens and relax in the afternoon sun warm, or cold, shining through the sunroom windows or sit by the wood burning fireplace in the living room watching your favorite television show or one of the many movies in our collection. Both guest rooms on the main level have ensuites. The pine suite on the lower level has a sitting room kitchenette, and bath. Listen to the trickle of water in the pond as you relax in the garden, or warm your feet by a good old fashioned campfire, enjoy an evening board game or card game and then settle in for a good night's sleep in your room. We serve a hot or cold continental style breakfast.

Twin Pines is located just minutes from The Peterborough Regional Health Centre and we welcome you to stay with us while your loved one is being treated there. The Kinsmen's arena is in our backyard so this is ideal for those who are here with their families at one of the many scheduled sporting events.

Your Hosts

Jim was born and raised in Peterborough and began my career in customer service at my Mother and Father's South-end Variety Store, The Parklaine, at a very tender age! I continued in the retail business until the summer of 2008, when Patti and I closed our local store (Shoppers Discount) after ten years of successful operation. Unable to withdraw from interaction with people everyday, we fulfilled our long time wish to operate a Bed and Breakfast, extending a service, meeting new people and enjoying each "and every wonderful day!"

Patti came to Peterborough in 1995, from Niagara. I too, have always been in the business of interacting with new people. Jim and I built our Discount Dollar store with great pride and hard work and look forward to this new adventure, in our lives as Hosts to you at Twin Pines. We hope your stay here will be as enjoyable to you as it will be to us.

Individual Unit Description

The Cardinal Room
The Cardinal room's queen size bed is covered with a European White Goose Down Hyper-allergenic Duvet. The ensuite bath features a tub and shower for your personal preference. Patio Doors open unto the back deck and the garden below. Your room comes equipped with a tv/vcr/dvd player.

The Oak Room
Climb into your bed with luxury bedding and a European White Goose Down, hyper-allergenic Duvet. The Oak Room has sitting area for two, a dresser and closet for storing your overnight things. Enjoy a hot invigorating shower in your private bathroom and if you chose watch your tv/vcr/dvd in the privacy of your own room.

The Pine Suite
The Pine suite consists of the Blue Jay Room and The Pine Room. Both rooms have full excess to the equipped kichenette, sitting area with tv/vcr/dvd and three piece bath. The suite can be used as a family or travelling singles/couples home away from home or as separate guest accomadations Special accomadation can be made for enfants (crib) in the Blue Jay room.
