Moose Calling & Twilight Trek
An evening trek on a path through the forest which ends on a lookout overlooking the scenic Humber Valley. You will be hiking through prime habitat for wildlife including moose, fox, coyote, beavers, rabbits and even the odd bear. Even if you do not spot our animals friends – you will have fun and learn how to call and moose as well as learn how to interpret tracks and identify plants and trees.
Newfoundland Insectarium
Located in Reidville, just outside Deer Lake on Route 430, this unique attraction is one of only two insectariums in Eastern Canada. Adults and children are amazed at the fascinating mixture of shapes, colours and textures in the live and mounted displays. Visitors can view three floors of live and mounted displays including the fascinating Butterfly Pavilion and glass bee hive, home to more than 20,000 bees.
The Insectarium building is a renovated dairy barn originally constructed in the 1940’s which has been completely renovated and modernized and includes a distinctive gift shop and interesting outdoor walking trails.

Reviews
Disappointed
Looks lovely from the outside but our experience summer of 2012 was more than disappointing.The property was run down with rot on the patio, fire alarm going off intermittently all night, cover ripped on hot tub plus mold visible,patio not painted,poor service when called re fire alarm.Expensive & when we called about this there wasn't even a discount given.
Some other nice properties on this resort though so look carefully & ask for updated pictures inside & out.
