The cottage sits at the end of a quiet shallow bay so any boat traffic is usually at a minimal and your enjoyment of the natural surroundings quite tranquil. The kitchen is open to living area while being simple and very functional with all new appliances and efficient use of counter space. The deck area offers the perfect spot to enjoy your meals, relax with a beverage or wake up to another beautiful day with your morning coffee. If you're a morning person and enjoy fishing, be sure to take the canoe out to experience the very good fishing for bass and pike here on Dickie Lake. If you decide to bring your own boat, the launch is only a couple of doors down. (it's not a manicured concrete ramp, and you have to back your boat down a curving laneway and into shallow water, so its not great for the inexperienced) The property at the cottage slopes very gently to the water with a landscaped pathway leading you to the waterfront from the cottage. There is fire pit by the lake with a couple of classic Muskoka chairs to sit and relax, with some shade available throughout the day to retreat from the heat of the summer sun. There is a small sand beach area, with shallow sand bottom for about 15ft which then turns to natural, soft lake bottom and stays quite shallow throughout the bay. The water at the end of the dock is about 2-3ft deep, so while you can enjoy the peaceful views and sunsets down the lake from the dock, there won't be any diving from it for those enthusiastic swimmers.
