The Hide Away is a lodge in the style of old Maine and New Brunswick hunting and fishing lodges but you need not be a hunter nor a fisherman to enjoy our hospitality. We are in an ideal location for long quiet weekends or as a home base for touring northern Maine and all of New Brunswick. We maintain five bedrooms in the main lodge and four separate cabins in the willy-wags of some of the most beautiful, wild and pristine lake country that you can imagine.

Hide Away Lodge is a wonderful weekend or week-long destination for a cozy get-away. Our large dining hall and our fully equipped commercial kitchen means the Lodge is the perfect venue for weddings, special family birthdays and anniversaries, reunions, corporate events, fund raising events and classes of all kinds.

No matter where you come from, we can help you make travel arrangements from a local major airport to our front door. The trip may take two hours as we are in a remote area of beautiful New Brunswick.

This beautiful lodge is right on the lake and our west facing lake front balcony runs the complete width of the building and is screened in. Not a sound to be heard other than what Mother Nature provides. Loons, birds, bears, deer, fox, raccoons, chipmunks and the list goes on. fish jumping in the lake right before your eyes. Access to the huge lake level lower deck is through 2 glass doors through the games room.

Individual Cottage Description

Our lodging is cozy, comfortable and relaxing. Furnished for guests seeking a rustic setting, homey atmosphere and a quiet place to stay, you won't find televisions, DVD players, telephones or the like in the main Lodge rooms. Each of the four rooms in the main Lodge are modestly decorated with two beds and shared bathrooms. Two rooms are on the main floor and two rooms are on the lounge level. Continental breakfast is complimentary for our Lodge guests.

Our four cabins are bright, private and outfitted with kitchenettes. Heated with electric heat, each cabin has a cozy living area, two bedrooms, flush toilets, 3 piece baths, and a porch with a BBQ. You'll find that the double bed and two sets of bunk beds in the bedrooms will accommodate up to 6 people comfortably. Two of our cabins are sitting right next to the lake front and the other two are nestled back in the woods. What a great place for your family to stay on your next fishing trip or on your next driving vacation through western New Brunswick. Plan to visit Maine while you're here - we're just minutes away from the U.S.A. border!

In the chilly months imagine sitting next to a roaring fire in the stone fireplace in the great room of the main Lodge. The cool breeze coming off the lake in the summer is wonderfully refreshing, making the huge outdoor deck a great place to gather and enjoy each other's company as you relax near the water.

Relax and enjoy your misty summer mornings on our expansive deck as the hours stretch into early afternoon. Stay longer as the sun begins to set on the lake and the haunting call of the loons echo across the lake.
