Breath the fresh sea air. Enjoy widesweeping views from every window and from the long seaside porch, the paths to the sea, the rocks at the ocean's edge, the unspoilt beach. Relax with the spectacular sunrise and the surprising sunset reflections on the mountains and sea. Play in the Games room with billard table, the piano, the library. Relax by the wood burning fireplace. Ideally located in a clean, quiet seaside village on one of the Most Beautiful Bays of the World -- Bay of Chaleur - -- with convenient access by train, plane and car.
No more alarm. Just listen to the birds singing. No more lineups - - even at the Stop sign. The tides, the breezes, the trees, all help us to re-connect with life, what is truly important in life.
About The Owners
Phil & Barbara Thibodeau love living by the sea. They also love sharing the good life by the Bay of Chaleur. They designed this home to welcome a large family and friends, to feel safe and private and to enjoy good food, good times and good sleeps.
"Even after 10 years I still get a good feeling every morning when I pull the curtains to reveal the wonderful views of the Bay of Chaleur," says Barbara. She and Phil walk the paths through their little woods, stroll the gardens and nearby very quiet streets and explore the rocky shore and beach in the cove. "Life in the village of Pointe-Verte is so easy. We can drive or bike to the next village for groceries and the seafood market. The airport is only 30 min away. The train station is easy too," says Phil. "The people are friendly; the seafood is the best." Even though most in the village do not bother to lock their doors Barbara and Phil ask their guests to respect their home by keeping everything secure. This region is considered one of the safest in all of Canada; for health care, a public clinic is just a few minutes ride on the main street. The ATM machine is nearby. There is a gas station and a general store. "Life here is happy."

Additional Bedroom Information
You can easily park in the large welcome area and roll up the landscaped path right to the front door. The aroma of cedar welcomes you, clean towels and soft sheets await you. Large armoires with sturdy hangars are open and ready for you to move in. The clocks in each bedroom are hidden in the drawers. Here, time is kept by the tides. Sparkling windows in every room beckon you to views of woods and sea. You step onto one of the balconies. Feel the refreshing sea breeze.
Everyone gathers by the 17 foot, 5.5m, fireplace in the Great Room. The dried wood is neatly stored for your convenience. Comfy leather seating relaxes you. There's a pile of brochures with maps and phone numbers, menus and recipes on the low table. In the kitchen area you find the fridge filled according to your early order, clean and clear counters and all the tools and pots sorted in the drawers. The kettle is sitting on the five burner gas stove. The coffee centre is fully stocked. Cupboards are filled with dishes and crystal to serve 8.
Downstairs try out the billiard table; stash your bottles in the cold fridge.
The cedar chairs on the porch look out to the sea. Paths lead to the edge of the ocean. Seashells and driftwood, sea glass and sea plants make this an ever-changing alive place to explore. With comfy shoes you can walk for miles, kilometres, or just one mile to the wharf to see the working fishing boats and talk to the fishers. And then wonder at the reflections of the setting sun on the Bay of Chaleur, gaze at the stars and sleep soundly til dawn and the birds call you to another day by the sea.
