With 4 + 2 private bedrooms and 3 1/2 bathrooms, this exotic retreat is ideal for discerning holidayers looking for that truly unforgetable escape. Outdoor Entertainment

Excellent swimming:Excellent dock with heavy duty 5-step dock ladder.
Watercraft: Canoe, paddle boat, 3 recreational kayaks, and life jackets provided.
Water games:noodles, tubes, fins, masks, snorkels, also provided in a few sizes.
On-shore games: Badminton with good quality rackets, crocket, bocce, horse shoes, ball gloves, etc.

Bird watching and animals:
many, many hummingbirds - feeders and food provided; finches, blue jays, chick-a-dees, woodpeckers, flicker, eastern phoebe, nut hatches, warblers, ducks, loons, etc. Even a stately heron that sometimes visits our dock. There is an abundance of friendly chipmunks and little red squirrels that busily scurry about but always have time to be hand-fed unshelled peanuts! Our larger pets are the raccoon families that come around just as the smaller creatures go to bed. For the more adventurous, our country raccoons will, ever-so-gently, take pieces of peanut butter sandwiches, or a peanut, from your fingers! We have also had deer on the property. Will you be lucky enough to see one swimming across the lake? In the spring, winter & fall, especially winter, their numbers increase dramatically and deer no longer run away when they see us! You simply cannot buy these kinds of therapeutic entertainment!!

Star gazing:
There is an ever increasing interest in the planets, moons, clusters, nebulas & constellations. The annual recurring "Perseus" meteor showers are around mid August? no equipment needed - you only need to sit outside or lay on the dock to witness this grand spectacle of shooting stars!

Beautiful Winter Paradise:
LakeSide is a very different but equally beautiful paradise in winter. After the lake is completely and solidly frozen (usually by Christmas), it remains safe to be upon all winter (about 4 months). It is great for cross-country skiing and snowshoeing.

Waterfront Description & Nearby Activities

Enjoy the beautiful, mature, perennial gardens and panoramic views of the lake while lounging outdoors - no other development in sight. Sunbathe on the private grounds surrounding this two-level cottage or stroll down to the equally secluded dock just below.

Enjoy your mornings under the dock and afternoons under the covered decks.

Additional Bedroom Information

The MBR, by itself, boasts 15ft (5m) of side-by-side large window and patio door for spectacular views. It is very comfortably furnished and decorated in an exotic African flavour, including a quality “queen-size” bed. The walls are western cedar, the ceiling bamboo, and the flooring wide plank boards. Double reading lights on the bed headboard provide another great getaway pastime. Will you turn on the elevated 50" Sony Grand Vega HDTV? Under the watchful eyes of the giraffe by the head of the bed, and under the magic spell of the waves endlessly lapping on the shore, you will surely enjoy restful nights! A mini kitchen is discreetly bedside for convenient evening refreshments and morning coffee. All bedding and accessories provided. The ensuite is Spacious bathroom in a “tropical sea-shore” flavour. Trendy walk-in shower with 3 heads/body washes with “grohe” plumbing. Clawfoot tub for deep relaxing baths. Vanity and toilet are in separate room within the ensuite. A “privacy filmed” patio door accesses the balcony. A spectacular view, even from in the bathtub! All towels, soaps, shampoos, Kleenex, etc., provided.

2 “Canadiana” Guest Bedrooms are located off the upstairs balcony overlooking the Great Room. Both are very nicely & comfortably furnished and have “cottagey” hardwood flooring. The beds are double-size and all bedding, accessories and towels, etc, are provided. One BR has a sink & mirror.
Located in between the two guest bedrooms, this sound proofed, mostly cedar, 4 piece bathroom sports a “funky red” shower/tub enclosure! Soap, shampoo, toilet paper, Kleenex, mat, etc., provided.

Large bedroom off the great room featuring “cottagey” hardwood flooring, cedar walls & ceiling. Very nicely furnished including queen-size bed with all bedding, towels, etc provided. The ensuite 2-piece burgundy ensuite (pedestal sink & one-piece toilet) with granite flooring, marble wainscoting, butternut walls and cedar ceiling. Wow!
