Nestled on the banks of the Miramichi River in the quaint village of Doaktown, New Brunswick, Canada, O'Donnell's Cottages & Expeditions offers vacationers of every season a cozy place to rest their head and enjoy the nature that surrounds them. O'Donnell's is a family owned and operated accommodations and soft-adventure business located on the shores of the world famous Miramichi River in central New Brunswick, Canada. Beginning in 1991 with one cottage and 17 acres of riverfront property, Valerie O'Donnell and her husband Jackie have worked to build the business to what is now called O'Donnell's Cottages & Expeditions.

By 1995 two more cottages had been added, as well as several Old Town canoes, kayaks, tubes and bicycles to address the growing demands for eco-adventures. The 1999 purchase of Clearwater Hollow Expeditions - one of the largest providers of eco-tourism on the Miramichi - solidified O'Donnell's as a first class adventure provider. In 2000, a fourth cottage was added, this time a 3-bedroom unit.

Continuing to follow the demand of its customers, O'Donnell's added a new service building in 2004 which is the main office. It also houses public laundry facilities, a payphone, a pop machine, a kitchen and a dining/meeting room for special events and packages, as well as business meetings.

O'Donnell's most recent expansion has just been completed with the addition of a building offering four kitchenette suites, a hot tub and sauna.

We have grown continuously over the last two decades and we acknowledge our loyal guests for this success. Thank you! and we hope you will continue to visit us to enjoy the Miramichi River and all it has to offer.

Individual Cottage Description

We opened these new suites in the Fall of 2008 and they have been a huge hit.

This new building sets on the bank of the Miramichi River and contains four kitchenette suites, a hot tub and a sauna.

Each suite is comfortable and cozy, equipped with:

•a full bathroom (3 with bathtubs);
•a kitchenette offering small fridge, microwave, sink, toaster and coffee pot, dishes, table and chairs
•cable TV,DVD, high-speed internet
•queen beds with duvets
•verandah overlooking the Miramichi River

Rates

Additional Rate Information

Specifically the units are as follows:

Units #1, #2 & 4: These three suites offer 2 queen beds, a bathtub in the full bathroom as well as all of the amenities listed above.
Rate: starting at $119 per night plus HST

Unit #3: This suite is a wheelchair accessible unit offering 1 queen bed, shower stall in full bathroom, as well as all the above mentioned features. Rate: $99 per night plus HST
